In the past two weeks, the company has taken its second major step by entering the Vietnamese market, following its plans to enter the European market, starting with France. The product line introduced in Vietnam includes four scooter models and one motorcycle, which are TVS Dazz, TVS NTORQ, TVS Callisto 110, TVS Callisto 125, and TVS Rockz. These models are all imported from Indonesia.
TVS has partnered with Minh Long, an imported vehicle business with a prominent showroom network in the South, to distribute its products. As a result, TVS has chosen this region as its primary growth area, with a goal of establishing approximately 300 dealerships within the next 6 months. This number is the highest market share among two-wheeler manufacturers in Vietnam, surpassing Honda’s nearly 800 dealerships and Yamaha’s over 500 dealerships.
One advantage of TVS motorcycles in the Vietnamese market is their competitive pricing. However, having a low price alone does not guarantee the brand’s success in attracting customers. Suzuki and Taiwanese brands like SYM and Kymco also offer attractively priced models compared to Japanese motorcycles, but Honda and Yamaha models still dominate the market.
