Xpander Motorsport is a unique partnership between Mitsubishi Malaysia and Speedline Industries. This extraordinary 7-seater vehicle is built upon the framework of the Xpander AP4 off-road racing car; however, it has been meticulously refined to be suitable for driving on public roads.
The Mitsubishi Xpander AP4 is outfitted with an impressive engine capable of delivering a staggering 350 horsepower and 556 Nm of torque, in addition to its remarkable all-wheel drive and six-speed sequential gearbox.
Moreover, the Mitsubishi Xpander Motorsport boasts a redesigned appearance that exudes a sporty vibe. Adorned with a striking combination of red, white, and gray, this vehicle features racing decals inspired by its AP4 predecessor. Furthermore, it is equipped with high-performance aerodynamic elements such as a front splitter, side canards, and a prominent rear wing. Notably, the rear suspension system is provided by HWL.
The front bumper has been upgraded with a wind diffuser and sporty air intakes inspired by renowned sports cars. The 18-inch custom-made lightweight alloy wheels perfectly coupled with the enlarged wheel arches further elevate its impressive aesthetics.
In terms of powerplant, the Mitsubishi Xpander Motorsport retains the proven 1.5L MIVEC engine that is utilized in the standard model. This robust engine generates 104 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and an impressive maximum torque of 141 Nm at 4,000 rpm.
As of now, Mitsubishi Malaysia has no immediate plans to release the Xpander Motorsport to the public. However, customers can approach Speedline Industries for the customizations they desire, tailored to their specific preferences.
