Based on information from a sales consultant, the Volkswagen Viloran is expected to be launched in Vietnam towards the end of this year or early next year.

With the discontinuation of the Sharan, the Viloran can be seen as its replacement in the Vietnamese market. It will directly compete with the Hyundai Custin and Kia Carnival upon its arrival.

Currently, the Volkswagen Viloran is available for pre-order at select dealerships with a deposit of 30 million VND. It is expected to be offered in two versions: Comfort Line and High Line, with an estimated price of around 1.9 billion VND.

Priced within this range, the Viloran will directly compete with the top trim level of the Kia Carnival, which is priced at 1.834 billion VND.

It is highly likely that the Viloran will be imported as a complete built-up unit from China since it is a product of the SAIC – Volkswagen joint venture. The vehicle is based on the MQB platform and has dimensions of 5,346 x 1,976 x 1,781 mm. Compared to the Hyundai Custin and Kia Carnival, the 7-seater MPV Viloran has slightly smaller dimensions.

The front of the car features an impressive large grille that exudes luxury. The design seamlessly integrates with the LED headlight cluster, giving the car a powerful and imposing appearance.

The Volkswagen Viloran also comes equipped with sliding doors, similar to other MPV models in this segment.

At the rear, the Viloran showcases slim LED taillights connected by chrome trim. Despite being an MPV, it doesn’t lack a sporty vibe with symmetrical dual-exhaust pipes and a roof spoiler.

Inside the cabin, the layout of the Viloran’s interior bears resemblance to its “siblings” such as the Touareg and Teramont.

The car boasts a spacious cabin with a plethora of modern features, including a 4-spoke sports steering wheel with numerous intelligent functions, a 10.2-inch digital screen, a large touchscreen entertainment system, a touch-controlled air conditioning system, and a renowned DYAUDIO sound system from Denmark.

It is still uncertain which engine the car will be equipped with upon its arrival in Vietnam. In the Chinese market, the 2023 Viloran is powered by a 2.0L TSI turbocharged engine. The standard version delivers a power output of 184 horsepower and a torque of 320 Nm, while the more premium version offers a maximum power output of 217 horsepower and a torque of 350 Nm.

All versions of the Viloran come equipped with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.

Similar to many recently released vehicles, the Viloran is expected to feature advanced safety technology, including active brake assist, adaptive cruise control, and lane departure warning.

The car also comes with a range of driving assist features, such as active brake assist, adaptive cruise control, and lane departure warning…
