The Yamaha e-Vino is a popular electric scooter that was first introduced in the Japanese market in 2015. Recently, Yamaha has released an upgraded version of this model, known as the Yamaha e-Vino 2023, in the domestic market.

Similar to its predecessor, the Yamaha e-Vino 2023 is based on the Yamaha Vino scooter. In fact, this is the fourth electric scooter developed based on the Yamaha Vino. The exterior design of the e-Vino 2023 remains largely unchanged, with Yamaha only adding two new paint colors: white-green and white-blue. The brake lever and rear handlebars have also been updated with a black paint finish, giving the scooter a sleek look.

One of the most noteworthy upgrades in the Yamaha e-Vino 2023 is its battery pack. The scooter is now equipped with a larger lithium-ion battery pack, with a capacity of 12.2 Ah. This is 1.2 times larger than the previous version, allowing the e-Vino 2023 to travel up to 32 km on a full charge—an increase of 3 km compared to its predecessor. The battery pack works in tandem with a DC electric motor, which provides a maximum power output of 1.4 horsepower and a maximum torque of 7.8 Nm.

The charging time for the Yamaha e-Vino 2023’s battery has not been specified. However, in the previous version, it took around 3 hours to fully charge using a 100V home power source.

Aside from these updates, the overall design of the Yamaha e-Vino 2023 remains largely unchanged. It features round headlights and turn signals, as well as the “e” logo on the front apron. The lighting system is halogen-based, and the scooter is equipped with a 3-spoke cast wheel painted in white, drum brakes on both wheels, an LCD instrument cluster, a spacious footboard, and a 10-liter storage compartment located under the seat. Additionally, users can store a spare battery pack in the scooter’s storage compartment.

The Yamaha e-Vino 2023 offers two riding modes: Standard and Power. It also has a Boost mode, which provides extra power for climbing hills or demanding terrain.

Designed with female customers in mind, the Yamaha e-Vino 2023 features a compact size with dimensions of 1,675 mm in length, 660 mm in width, and 1,005 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 1,160 mm and a seat height of 715 mm. Despite being an electric scooter, the e-Vino 2023 weighs only 68 kg, making it significantly lighter than traditional gas-powered scooters. According to Yamaha, the e-Vino offers a comfortable riding position for the rider, reminiscent of the regular Vino scooter.
