Yamaha Grande 2022 price increase compared to the old version

The new generation Yamaha Grande has just been launched in Vietnam. In terms of design and equipment, Grande 2022 has undergone significant changes compared to the previous generation. Moreover, the price of Grande 2022 has also witnessed an increase when compared to the old version.

Yamaha Grande 2022 is available in 3 versions. The starting price for this motorcycle is 45.9 million VND for the Standard version, while the Premium and Limited versions are priced at 50.3 million and 51 million VND respectively.

In comparison to the old version, the price of Grande has increased by 400,000 VND to 1.2 million VND, depending on the version. This new pricing makes Yamaha Grande more expensive than its direct competitor, Honda Lead, which is priced between 39.06 million VND and 42.3 million VND.

Grande 2022 has revamped the dashboard design, the rear light cluster, and added a position light strip similar to the Janus model. Additionally, the lighting system utilizes LED technology, making it Yamaha’s first popular model to feature turn signal lights that do not rely on halogen bulbs.

This scooter model is also equipped with a charging port and a front storage compartment that is similar to the Thai market. However, one inconvenience is that the scooter’s charging port is exposed, making it impractical to use during rainy conditions.

The engine of the new Grande remains the Blue Core 125 cc type, capable of producing 8.2 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 10.4 Nm at 5,000 rpm. These figures are slightly lower than its direct competitor, the Honda Lead, which offers 11 horsepower and 11.7 Nm of torque.

On the other hand, Grande 2022 boasts a fuel consumption of 1.66 liters/100 km, which is an improvement of 0.03 liters/100 km compared to the old version. In terms of fuel efficiency, it performs significantly better than the Honda Lead, which consumes 2.16 liters/100 km.
