Rolls-Royce Motor Cars recently recognized the most impressive Bespoke creations of 2023, highlighting their remarkable aesthetics, craftsmanship, and innovation.

Each Rolls-Royce Bespoke vehicle is not just a valuable asset. For the owner, it represents the realization of a desire, a vision turned into reality, a dream come true.

In 2023, the Rolls-Royce Bespoke Collective team pushed the boundaries further. This year’s commissions resulted in groundbreaking exploration of rare, delicate materials, intricate craftsmanship, surface finishes, and advanced technologies.

For the brand itself, there were notable “firsts,” including exquisite hand-punched leather seats, the integration of the captivating Starlight Headliner with celestial animations, 3D sculpted details, intricate sculpted artworks, a new paint layer with complex processes, and for the first time, a personalized Bespoke scent.

These Bespoke masterpieces derive inspiration from celestial events, cosmic mysteries, romantic landscapes, family heritage, customers’ personal colors, and much more. Below are some magnificent creations that pay tribute to the vision, imagination, and ambition of the Rolls-Royce Bespoke Collective team and their esteemed customers, who have honored their personal stories through artistic Bespoke commissions.

ROSE BLOSSOM PHANTOM

This exceptional Extended Phantom evokes the beauty and tranquility of a summer garden. Artistic embroidered works celebrate the Phantom Rose, blooming in the Rolls-Royce garden. This special flower appears in The Gallery display space and on the car doors.

Notably, these flowers are also concealed within the Starlight Headliner, which took over 200 hours to complete. The flowers are inhabited by four species of butterflies – Swallowtail, Peacock, Common Blue, and Duke of Burgundy.

This captivating floral theme is further reflected in the intricate rose detailing on the passenger control panel and the center seat backrest between the rear rows.

PHANTOM SYNTOPIA

Phantom Syntopia, the most intricate Bespoke creation ever crafted, is a collaboration between Rolls-Royce and Dutch Haute Couture fashion designer Iris Van Herpen. The car explores the beauty of fluid motion in robust materials, embodied by the ‘Weaving Water’ theme, which spans the Gallery artwork, picnic table, front passenger control panel, bonnet, and Bespoke Starlight Headliner.

The Weaving Water Starlight Headliner detail alone requires nearly 700 hours to complete. This detail utilizes a single-stitched leather sheet on ‘liquid metal’ woven fabric to create a 3D effect. It is adorned with 162 organza ‘petals’ made of exquisite glass, meticulously brought to life by Iris Van Herpen’s team at the Home of Rolls-Royce.

The rear seats are upholstered in a special silk blend fabric with the Weaving Water pattern. To provide a sophisticated and long-lasting sensory experience, the Bespoke Collective team integrated a fragrance diffuser within the headrest.

BLACK BADGE GHOST ÉKLEIPSIS COLLECTION

The Black Badge Ghost Ékleipsis Private Collection explores the mesmerizing interplay between light and darkness during a total solar eclipse, when the Moon obscures the Sun.

The Bespoke Starlight Headliner features an animation sequence that recreates the moment of a total solar eclipse. A circle of 940 fiber optic ‘stars’ symbolizes the radiance around the Moon, surrounded by another 192 ‘stars’. This dynamic image appears for exactly 7 minutes and 31 seconds, the longest possible duration of a total solar eclipse.

The glow-in-the-dark control panel, engraved with 1,846 laser-etched ‘stars’, represents the timeline of a solar eclipse. The highlight of the design is the Bespoke clock face, adorned with a brilliant-cut 0.5-carat diamond set on the bezel, reminiscent of the ‘Diamond Ring’ effect.

BLACK BADGE CULLINAN BLUE SHADOW

The Black Badge Cullinan Blue Shadow Private Collection draws inspiration from the Karman Line, the invisible boundary 62 miles above the Earth’s surface where our atmosphere ends and space begins.

The Bespoke Starlight Headliner depicts an exquisite embroidered painting that mimics the Moon’s surface. It is composed of 250,000 individual stitches in five different colors. A polished piece of hematite adorns the central wheel, adding a unique tactile sensation.

The rear seat is embellished with meticulously embroidered grapevines, each consisting of 9,215 stitches using two different techniques to create shine and texture. The grape motif also appears as gold and stainless steel inlays on the rear picnic table and the coachline.

GHOST CHAMPAGNE ROSE

Ghost Champagne Rose is a celebration of the owner’s distinctive colors, inspired by the digital portrait of @ChampagneRose. Achieving a consistent monochrome tone throughout the exterior paint and interior trim is exceedingly complex. Different materials have varying light absorption and reflection capabilities, and the human eye can detect slight variations if the same color is applied to all surfaces. Consequently, the Bespoke Collective team developed multiple ‘Champagne Rose’ color formulas, each delicately adjusted to match the unique surface characteristics of different materials – a fusion of technical mastery and artistic expertise.

MANCHESTER GHOST

This one-of-a-kind Ghost pays homage to Manchester’s historic connection with the Rolls-Royce brand. The city’s Midland Hotel witnessed the first meeting between Charles Rolls and Henry Royce on May 4th, 1904, where they agreed to build the “best car in the world” together.

The illuminated fascia showcases a panoramic view of Manchester, consisting of 10,000 laser-etched dots. The largest dot represents the Midland Hotel’s location.

The design also includes the Manchester Bee emblem, an icon of the city for over 150 years, symbolizing industry and collective effort. This motif appears as a coachline design on the car and as intricately embroidered lines on the front and rear seats.

GHOST AMBER ROADS

The Ghost Amber Roads limited collection, featuring only 12 cars, draws inspiration from amber – the “Gold of the North” traded along the historical amber routes. The Starlight Headliner and glowing fascia panel depict these historical trade routes.

The two-tone exterior paint and interior color scheme accentuate the warm and vibrant ambiance associated with amber. A polished amber piece is placed within the central wheel cap, creating a distinctive tactile sensation.

BLACK BADGE WRAITH BLACK ARROW COLLECTION

This exclusive personal collection, marking the end of the Wraith lineage, comprises the final 12 examples of the Rolls-Royce V12 coupe model, the brand’s last V12 coupe ever produced.

The car’s design pays tribute to the land speed record set on September 16th, 1938, by Captain George Eyston on Utah’s Bonneville Salt Flats. The Bespoke Starlight Headliner accurately replicates the Milky Way galaxy and the constellations visible on that historic night. The intricate design on the doors comprises over 320 thin, laser-etched veneers, rendering the cracked and uneven surface of the Salt Flats.

The fascia panel prominently features an exquisite artwork depicting the Wraith’s V12 engine, engraved on a black-coated aluminum panel, revealing the shining metal beneath, paying homage to the heritage of this Rolls-Royce icon.

THE PEARL CULLINAN

This exquisite Cullinan was commissioned by the owner’s family to commemorate a milestone birthday event. It captures their passion for pearls and showcases the most intricate marquetry ever seen on a Rolls-Royce.

The exterior paintwork faithfully reproduces the color of the owner’s most cherished pearl in their collection. The picnic table surface features a dramatic circular pattern consisting of 1,351 individually selected and hand-laid veneer pieces. The emblem on the car’s fascia panel, crafted in stainless steel, represents the Arabic character for ‘Father.’ The Bespoke Starlight Headliner replicates the night sky of the owner’s birthplace.

PHANTOM CINQUE TERRE

This unique Phantom pays homage to Italy’s breathtaking Cinque Terre region, celebrated for its stunning landscape and rich winemaking heritage. The Gallery artwork is a combination of digital rendering and hand-painting, inspired by the five coastal villages of Liguria.

The Bespoke Starlight Headliner features a radiant map of Italy created with 14,338 individual stitches, with five prominent ‘stars’ marking the positions of the Cinque Terre villages.

The rear door showcases meticulously embroidered grapevines, each consisting of 9,215 stitches executed using two different techniques to create shine and texture. The grape motif reappears as gold and stainless steel inlays on the rear picnic table and the coachline.

BLACK BADGE CULLINAN LUCID NIGHTS

Lastly, the Black Badge Cullinan Lucid Nights encapsulates the enthralling nocturnal atmosphere. The Bespoke Starlight Headliner, with its 1,134 fiber optic ‘stars,’ conveys the ethereal charm of a starlit sky.
