The new Toyota Camry was officially unveiled at the 2023 Los Angeles Auto Show in the United States in November last year. At the same time, this mid-size sedan was also introduced at the 2023 Guangzhou Auto Show in China.

Until now, the Toyota Camry 2024 has been scheduled for its debut in the Southeast Asian market, specifically in Thailand. According to Headlightmag, this mid-size sedan will be officially introduced in Thailand in October of this year. After Thailand, the new generation Toyota Camry is expected to continue launching in other markets such as Vietnam.

Now, let’s take a closer look at the design of the 2024 Camry through the detailed photos released by Toyota in the Chinese market. The two cars used in these photos belong to the gasoline and hybrid versions.

The 9th generation Toyota Camry features a new design language inspired by the hammerhead shark. The car is equipped with new, more compact headlights with daytime running lights surrounding the LED light strip. Between the headlights is a narrow grille integrated with the radar box.

In the Chinese market, the 2024 Toyota Camry comes in 2 design styles, Sport and Luxury. With the Sport style, Toyota’s sedan is equipped with a large-sized grille with a black honeycomb grille. Similarly, the elongated side vents are also painted in glossy black and integrated with circular fog lights.

With the Luxury style, the car has a narrower grille with a fox-eye grille in the same color as the body. The corner vents are also smaller compared to the Sport style.

In contrast to the front of the car, the side area of the new Toyota Camry hasn’t changed much. The car still has prominent creases running from the front mudguard to the taillights.

Alongside that are the new wheel options ranging from 17 to 19 inches in diameter.

The roof can be painted in a contrasting color to the body, giving it a more impressive look.

Turning to the rear, we’re greeted with new LED taillights with a sleeker “C” shape. The rear bumper of the car is also redesigned to be more elegant and refined, adorned with chrome trim.

Similarly to the exterior, the interior of the 2024 Toyota Camry also has differences between the Sport and Luxury styles.

With the Sport style, the car is equipped with sporty leather and suede seats.

Meanwhile, with the Luxury style, the seats are upholstered in regular leather.

The interior of this mid-size sedan is designed to be youthful and more luxurious, creating a harmonious look with the exterior. The car is supplemented with a multi-layer dashboard and a new 3-spoke steering wheel.

The equipment of the 2024 Toyota Camry in the Chinese market has also been significantly upgraded. In the base version, the car uses a 7-inch LCD instrument cluster and an 8-inch infotainment screen. In the premium version, the car is equipped with a digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch center screen.

Below the center screen is a touch-sensitive surface integrated into the dashboard for air conditioning control.

With the new operating system developed by Huawei, this car has an improved voice control feature using AI. At the same time, the car also supports more applications such as WeChat, navigation, and software updates via Wifi.

Not stopping there, this Japanese car also possesses convenience features such as power-adjustable seats with heating and cooling, head-up display with augmented reality technology, wireless Apple CarPlay, Huawei HiCar, dual-pane panoramic sunroof with an area of 1.03 m2, wireless phone charging with 15W power, 11-speaker sound system, and 64-color illuminated interior trim.

The safety features of the 2024 Toyota Camry are also more complete with the Toyota Safety Sense advanced driving assistance system, which includes features such as pre-collision warning, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and lane-keeping assistance. Traffic sign recognition system, active steering assist system, lane change assist, front vehicle cutting warning, and driver monitoring are also equipped for the car.

Under the hood of the 2024 Toyota Camry for the Chinese market are 3 engine options. First is the 2.0L 4-cylinder gasoline engine, combined with a continuously variable transmission. The second is the hybrid powertrain with a 2.0L gasoline engine, producing a maximum power of 197 horsepower and an average fuel consumption of 4.2 liters/100 km. The third is the hybrid powertrain with a 2.5L gasoline engine.

The Toyota Camry 2024 is now on sale in China with 9 versions and prices ranging from 173,800 to 208,800 Chinese yuan (about 596 to 716 million VND). The car will be produced by the GAC Toyota joint venture in China.
