The second-generation Hyundai Kona offers a variety of options for petrol, hybrid, and fully electric drivetrains. However, currently, the sportier N Line variant is only available for the conventional combustion engine version. Nevertheless, based on the latest prototype test images, it appears that the electric versions will soon also receive a sporty N Line variant.
Notably, the prototype showcases a different front body kit compared to the 2024 Kona N Line. Instead, both the front and rear bumpers resemble those found on the standard Kona Electric, lacking the large rear spoiler and special dual exhaust pipes.
Nevertheless, it is evident that we are looking at a sportier version of the EV featuring new alloy wheels, prominent side cladding, a rear diffuser, and a hidden badge on the front fender.
Similar to most N Line models, the Kona Electric may undergo improvements in its suspension and steering systems to provide a more thrilling driving experience. Currently, it is unknown whether the car will receive any upgrades to its drivetrain system. Nevertheless, it’s likely that the N Line variant will continue to utilize the original electric motor, producing a combined 201 horsepower, paired with a larger 64.8 kWh battery pack.
