Typically, classic car enthusiasts wouldn’t be inclined to sit through a lengthy two-hour presentation for the launch of a new phone like the Apple iPhone 11. However, in the US, quite a few fans had no choice but to tune into the livestream as they were treated to exciting news – the presence of classic cars and vintage sports cars at this event.
More specifically, after over 50 minutes into the presentation, an unexpected nearly one-minute clip featuring three iconic cars – the 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle, 1968 Camaro, and 1971 Chevelle – was showcased. These cars were captured on film at the Bonneville Salt Flats, a renowned location where numerous speed records for both motorcycles and automobiles have been shattered.
However, Apple’s intention was not solely to highlight the speed of these three vehicles, but rather to demonstrate the iPhone 11’s capability to capture crisp 4K video with every intricate detail, showcasing the perfect contrast between the white/gray background of Bonneville and the vibrant, bright tones of the Chevy cars. According to Apple, users can now easily record and edit high-quality footage of exhibitions or races using their iPhones.
