Up to the present time, this is still the only Lotus Elise S2 in Vietnam, the car arrived in Vietnam in 2010 and has been rolling for 13 years on the S-shaped land.
Lotus Elise is a two-seater sports car using a mid-engine and rear-wheel drive. The convertible version was developed in 1994, first appeared in 1996.
After the first generation became outdated and failed to meet the strict safety standards of Europe, the Lotus Elise S2 (2nd generation) was planned for production and entered the market in 2000. The project was sponsored by General Motors (GM).
Therefore, the car in the original post was originally yellow. After changing hands to Novaland Group, the car is now painted in milky white. At present, the car has been handed over to a new owner and is wearing the British Racing green coat, along with eye-catching yellow stripes.
Lotus Elise S2 has a compact appearance, a new athletic style philosophy. The empty weight of the car is only 860 kg.
The front of the car is designed simply with a black grille, flanked by small air intakes. The lighting cluster has a catchy spherical design, alongside turn signal lights. Both are highlighted by black trim. The bonnet has air vents to improve aerodynamic performance.
Lotus Elise S2 is equipped with diamond-shaped multi-spoke Work wheels with a size of 16 inches, accompanied by prominent red-painted brake clamps. In addition, the new owner also added a front lip to increase the sportiness.
At the rear of the car are dual round taillights, the Lotus Cars brand name is stylized positioned in the center. Below is a sporty exhaust system and a carbon fiber diffuser.
Especially, the front section of the Elise can be removed or reinstalled by hand, transforming the sports coupe into a grand sport convertible.
The Lotus Elise S2 is powered by a 4-cylinder, 1.8-liter engine from Toyota. This engine block produces a maximum power of 190 horsepower and a maximum torque of 181 Nm. Thanks to a firm suspension system, a solid frame, and a lightweight body, the Elise can reach a top speed of up to 240 km/h. Some other variants of this line use a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, with a power of up to 218 horsepower.
