These SUVs are the Range Rover SV and the Lamborghini Urus Performante.
Lamborghini Urus Performante
In August 2022, Lamborghini officially unveiled the high-performance version of the Urus model at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance exhibition in the US. The Lamborghini Urus Performante, which debuted four years after the standard version, continues to elevate the super SUV segment. Despite the power differences, it competes with the Aston Martin DBX707.
The Urus Performante features a distinctive exterior with the Performante logo on the side. It boasts a carbon bonnet with air vents to enhance the cooling capability of its powerful engine. The carbon fiber front and rear bumpers and side sills further enhance its aesthetic appeal.
Besides the unique exterior, the Lamborghini Urus Performante features a larger rear wing, 22-23 inch rims with titanium bolts, and Pirelli P Zero tires designed specifically for this super SUV. It also comes equipped with the Akrapovic sports exhaust system.
Inside, the Urus Performante offers black Alcantara seats with diamond-shaped stitching and aluminum trim details. The sports steering wheel is wrapped in Alcantara material. Additionally, the car is equipped with new steel springs, resulting in a 20 mm reduction in ground clearance.
Range Rover SV
In contrast to the Lamborghini Urus Performante’s aggressive appearance, the Range Rover SV has a luxurious and elegant demeanor. It stands out with a distinctive five-bar front grille and a lower opening with five aluminum metal blades. The Range Rover SV allows customers to personalize their vehicles with various options, including exclusive materials, polished metals, fine ceramics, intricate inlays, and soft near-aniline leather. It also offers the SV Serenity and SV Intrepid design packages.
Range Rover SV customers can choose from a standard color palette or one of the 14 additional colors in the SV Bespoke Premium color palette. The SV Bespoke Match to Sample service allows customers to select any desired color for exterior customization.
For the best experience with the Range Rover SV, customers can opt for the 4.4-liter V8 engine instead of the standard 3.0-liter MHEV Ingenium petrol engine. However, this upgrade comes at a higher price.
Powertrain Comparison
The Lamborghini Urus Performante is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 petrol engine, producing a maximum power of 657 horsepower and a peak torque of 850 Nm. This allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 306 km/h.
On the other hand, the Range Rover SV offers two engine options. The P400 model features a 3.0-liter MHEV Ingenium petrol engine with a maximum power of 395 horsepower and a peak torque of 550 Nm. For a more powerful option, customers can choose the Range Rover SV LWB P615, equipped with a 4.4-liter MHEV V8 petrol engine producing 607 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque. The Range Rover SV is designed with an AWD system and offers a starting price of 16.869 billion VND.
When comparing the Lamborghini Urus Performante and the Range Rover SV, it becomes evident that they cater to different market segments.
