The Vietnamese Auction Joint Stock Company brought 7,000 beautiful license plates for auction in an event held on January 2nd.

The highlight of the auction was the sale of license plate 88A-666.66, which fetched nearly 30 billion VND. Another highly sought-after license plate, 99A-688.88, was sold for a whopping 3.745 billion VND.

Despite the option to buy expensive cars, many bidders chose to invest their money in these exclusive license plates.

Aside from the aforementioned premium plates, several other beautiful license plates were also auctioned for billions of VND on January 2nd. For example, the license plate 98A – 699.99 fetched 1.45 billion VND, while the plate 38A – 599.99 from Ha Tinh reached 1.225 billion VND.

Under the new auction regulations implemented since December 16th, 2023, the auction duration has been reduced from 60 minutes to 30 minutes. Participants can now register for an auction account using their phone numbers. Alternatively, individuals and businesses can use their ID card numbers and tax numbers respectively.

If, at the end of the registration period, there is only one eligible bidder, the license plate will be awarded to that individual.
