On December 17, 2023, the Chinese car brand Haima made a comeback in the Vietnamese market with the launch of two models: the 7X and 7X-E. The Haima 7X is an MPV model with a starting price of VND 865 million for the internal combustion engine version. Customers can enjoy a discount of VND 100 million by depositing VND 30 million, resulting in a post-discount price of VND 765 million.

The Haima 7X, positioned in the mid-size MPV segment, competes with the Toyota Innova Cross and Hyundai Custin in Vietnam. It has dimensions of 4,815 x 1,874 x 1,720 mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase of 2,860 mm, which is equivalent to the Toyota Innova Cross and shorter than the Hyundai Custin.

Unlike its competitors, the Haima 7X features a traditional MPV design instead of an SUV-inspired style. The exterior design includes sharp and sophisticated details such as the grille, headlights, taillights, and front/rear bumpers. The car also has crease lines on the hood and side, giving it a distinct look. It comes with conventional doors, similar to the Toyota Innova Cross.

When it comes to safety, the Haima 7X is equipped with 6 airbags, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, hill start assist, electronic parking brake, temporary brake hold, cruise control, lane departure warning, automatic parking assist, door warning, tire pressure monitoring, lane change assist, active emergency braking, blind-spot warning, forward collision warning, and driver monitoring.

In conclusion, the Haima 7X offers a wide range of convenience and safety features, which are typical of Chinese car models. However, its higher price and lesser-known brand may pose challenges in attracting customers in Vietnam.
