High-priced vintage cars enter a new era.

Classic car exhibitions and auctions are held worldwide in places like Monte Carlo, Maranello, and Monterey. Recently, New York hosted a classic car auction for the first time in over a decade, and it was a tremendous success with numerous million-dollar cars finding new owners.

One of the standout cars at the New York auction was the 1964 Ferrari 250 LM, which sold for an incredible $14.3 million. Initially estimated to be valued around $12 to $15 million, this iconic supercar exceeded expectations.

Another notable vehicle up for auction was the 1938 Talbot-Lago T150-C SS Teardrop Cabriolet, which fetched an impressive $7.15 million. These Talbot-Lago T150-C SS Teardrop Cabriolets are exceptionally rare, with only 20 coupes ever produced.

The recent RM auction in New York generated a total of $62,797,500, and an impressive 93% of the lots were sold.

In addition to the Ferrari 250 LM and the Talbot-Lago T150-C SS Teardrop Cabriolet, several other cars commanded high prices. For instance, the 1959 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta sold for $7.04 million, while the 1954 Maserati A6G/2000 Spyder Zagato fetched $4.455 million. Out of the 31 cars auctioned, 16 were sold for over $1 million, according to Autoblog.
