In late September 2023, the highly anticipated Honda Dream was officially launched in the Cambodian market, generating significant interest among motorcycle enthusiasts in Vietnam.
As predicted by many enthusiasts, the all-new Honda Dream 2024 has made its way to the Vietnamese market through private motorcycle dealers. In Cambodia alone, the price of this model has already surpassed 70 million VND, but the official selling price in Vietnam has yet to be announced.
However, some individual motorcycle dealers have already listed this model for sale on various motorcycle forums, with prices exceeding 100 million VND. In fact, prices have even reached a staggering 126 million VND. With such high price tags, the new generation Dream motorcycle surpasses even the premium Honda SH160i scooter.
Some believe that the reason behind the inflated prices of the new Honda Dream in Vietnam is due to the fact that this motorcycle line is only privately imported. The costs associated with importing it have resulted in higher prices. However, some opinions suggest that the high price tag adds to the exclusivity of the new Dream bike, appealing to a select group of wealthy individuals who are ardent fans of the Honda Dream line.
The Honda Dream 2024 was praised upon its launch for its exterior design that retains many iconic features from the previous Dream model. However, the graphics on the motorcycle boast fresh new details, with a brilliant gold color and diamond-like patterns, adding a touch of luxury to the bike.
Despite its premium price, the new Honda Dream comes equipped with basic features, such as LED headlights that automatically turn on when the motorcycle is in operation. It features drum brakes, a single-cylinder, 4-stroke engine with a displacement of 124cc, and electronic fuel injection, which contributes to its fuel efficiency.
The case of the Dream motorcycle imported from Cambodia mirrors the situation of the Honda Wave 125i motorcycles imported from Thailand that were previously available in Vietnam, which were priced at around 80 million VND at private motorcycle dealerships.
