The front of the car stands out with a large square-shaped grille, with shiny chrome slats arranged vertically, exuding a luxurious and elegant appearance. The headlights are sleekly designed, with tidy air intakes below, creating a harmonious and elegant look for the Chinese luxury car.

The first is a 4-cylinder, turbocharged, 2.0L engine, combined with a 48V mild hybrid system, producing a maximum power of 252 horsepower and maximum torque of 380 Nm. The second is a V6, supercharged, 3.0L engine, producing a maximum power of 272 horsepower and maximum torque of 400 Nm. The engines are paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, as well as a pneumatic suspension system.

This model has overall dimensions of 5,209 mm in length, 2,010 mm in width, and 1,713 mm in height. Despite being powered by an electric motor, the Hongqi E-HS9 is equipped with a fake radiator grille with large-sized vertical slats. Additionally, the E-HS9 is equipped with modern Matrix LED headlights with adaptive high beam technology (ADB) and AFS angle adjustment.

Overall, Hongqi E-HS9 offers a luxurious and sporty look with features such as door handles integrated into the body, large 21 to 22-inch multi-spoke wheels, prominent body lines, a slight sloping roof, and a tail wing.

Hongqi E-HS9 provides spacious and comfortable seating for 4 – 7 people (depending on the option). In the 6-seater version, the car will have 2 business-class seats in the second row. The standard version uses 2 electric motors with a total power of 435 horsepower and maximum torque of 600 Nm, powered by an 84 kWh battery for a range of 460 km. The remaining versions use 2 electric motors with a power of 550 horsepower and a maximum torque of 750 Nm, powered by a 99 kWh battery for a range of 510 km. All versions come with a full-time 4-wheel drive system.

Regardless of the version, the car also features fast charging, allowing users to drive an additional 100 km after 10 minutes of charging. Furthermore, the Hongqi E-HS9 2023 also offers 7 driving modes: Long life battery, Comfort, Sports, All-terrain, Ultimate, Off-road, and Customized.

In the mid-sized luxury sedan segment in the Vietnamese market, the Hongqi H9 faces tough competition from brands such as the BMW 5-Series (2,499 – 3,289 billion VND) and Mercedes-Benz E-Class (2.05 – 2.95 billion VND). With prices ranging from 1,508 – 2,688 billion VND, the Hongqi H9 is priced lower than the two German brands. 

On the other hand, the Hongqi E-HS9 competes with the VinFast VF9. With prices ranging from 2,678 – 3,688 billion VND, the Hongqi E-HS9 is significantly more expensive than the Vietnamese representative. The prices of VinFast VF9 range from 1,443 – 1,571 billion VND, even the highest-spec version of VinFast VF9 is much cheaper than the standard version of the E-HS9.
