Introducing globally since June 2023, the compact luxury SUV Lexus LBX has officially arrived in Southeast Asia.

The Lexus LBX is developed based on Toyota’s TNGA-B platform, similar to the Yaris Cross, and is considered the luxury version of the Yaris Cross.

With a length of 4190 mm, a width of 1825 mm, and a height of 1545 mm, the 2024 Lexus LBX is compact and lightweight, weighing only 1,280 kg. Its wheelbase is 2580 mm, 20 mm longer than the Toyota Yaris Cross.

The Lexus LBX features a modern design with distinctive Japanese characteristics. The front grille has an elongated shape with a hexagonal grille and compact headlights on both sides. The headlights are connected by a glossy black strip, creating a stylish appearance.

The body of the vehicle has strong and sharp lines, wider wheel arches, and a narrow center, creating a widebody structure. The wheel size ranges from 17 to 18 inches, depending on the version.

At the rear, the 2024 Lexus LBX features LED taillights surrounded by a continuous strip of lights. The Lexus emblem is placed below the light strip.

The cabin of the 2024 Lexus LBX is equipped with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 9.8-inch infotainment screen, a head-up display, USB Type C ports, and wireless phone charging. Other features include interior accent lighting, a short gear lever, and an electronic parking brake.

The new Lexus LBX is equipped with a 13-speaker Mark Levinson sound system and advanced safety technologies, including automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and traffic sign recognition.

The Lexus LBX is powered by a hybrid powertrain consisting of a 1.5L 3-cylinder gasoline engine and an 80 horsepower electric motor. The total power output is 136 horsepower. It also features a 4.3 Ah lithium-ion battery, E-CVT automatic transmission, and either front-wheel drive or e-Four all-wheel drive.

All versions of the 2024 Lexus LBX have MacPherson front suspension, while the rear suspension varies depending on the model.

The selling price of the Lexus LBX in Southeast Asian markets is yet to be disclosed. In Japan, the price ranges from 4.6 – 5.5 million Yen (approximately 805 – 962 million VND).
