Kia has introduced the upgraded version of its small CUV, the Sonet, on December 14.
The car is available in 7 different configurations: HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, HTX+, GTX+, and X-Line. The X-Line is the top-tier version and stands out with its unique exterior design.
The highlight of the 2024 Kia Sonet X-Line is the exclusive Xclusive Matte Graphite gray paint. Additionally, it features a black grille, front/rear bumper, giving the car a rugged and aggressive look. The 16-inch wheels have a dual-tone black and gray design.
Kia Sonet 2024 has received significant exterior upgrades, including new headlamps with LED daytime running lights and turn signals inspired by star maps. The rear of the car now features a continuous taillight that spans across the width of the vehicle, similar to the new Kia Seltos.
The 2024 Kia Sonet also boasts a modern interior compared to its previous version. Some notable features include a new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a Bose 7-speaker audio system, automatic air conditioning with air filtration, and a power sunroof with voice-controlled Alexa.
In terms of safety and driver assistance technology, the 2024 Kia Sonet is equipped with lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, driver attention warning, lane following assist, headlamp assist, early collision warning and avoidance, and forward collision warning with pedestrian detection. Additionally, the car features a 360-degree camera, front parking sensors, and rear disc brakes.
The car offers 3 engine options, including petrol and diesel variants. The first option is a 1.2L petrol engine with a maximum power of 83 horsepower and a peak torque of 115 Nm. The second option is a 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine with a power output of 120 horsepower and a torque of 172 Nm. Lastly, there is a 1.5L diesel engine with a maximum power of 116 horsepower and a peak torque of 250 Nm.
The 2024 Kia Sonet will officially launch in India in early next year. The pricing for the upgraded model has not yet been announced by the manufacturer.
