The updated version of the Kia Carnival features updates inside and out. Starting with the exterior, the MPV model features the new Opposites United design language, combining “exquisite refinement and SUV-like strength”. The most noticeable changes are focused on the front of the car, where the Carnival now has a larger grille and a refined front bumper. These are paired with new headlights that have a vertical design, as well as “Star Map” daytime running lights.

Moving to the rear, the 2024 Carnival features a smoother tail design without a handle to open the trunk. Another change is the lowered position of the Kia logo, which no longer serves as a split LED strip. The reflector lights attached to the rear bumper appear slimmer than before.
The cabin of the Kia Carnival also sees notable upgrades. The Korean version now has a curved screen that combines a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment system. Additionally, the central control cluster has been modified.
Furthermore, the 2024 Kia Carnival boasts an improved interior ambient lighting system, fingerprint recognition technology, and a UV-C sterilization box on the central control panel. Other highlights include an 11-inch HUD screen, Ergo Motion seats, and a modernized infotainment system with over-the-air updates.
When it comes to technology, this MPV model is equipped with various driver assistance systems, including Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Rear Collision Avoidance Assist, and Highway Driving Assist 2. It also features Automatic Headlights, Safe Exit Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Remote Smart Parking Assist, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.
In the Korean market, the car is available with a new 1.6L turbocharged hybrid powertrain, delivering a combined output of 242 horsepower and a maximum torque of 367 Nm.
Customers also have the option to choose the familiar 2.2L diesel engine and the 3.5L V6 petrol engine. Other announced changes include improved suspension for a smoother driving experience and additional sound insulation materials for a quieter cabin.
The 2024 Kia Carnival starts at 34.7 million won ($26,601) in South Korea.
