This is the Lexus LF-ZL – one of the two important electric concept cars from the Japanese luxury brand introduced at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show. Similar to the LF-ZC, the LF-ZL may serve as a preview of the upcoming production model, but it will be positioned as the flagship model of Lexus in the future.
While the LF-ZC combines the attractive elements of a sedan and an estate, the LF-ZL is a more traditional SUV, although it incorporates several distinguishing features not found in any current SUV produced by Lexus.
The Lexus LF-ZL Concept boasts a large size, with an overall length of 5,300 mm, width of 2,020 mm, and a height of 1,700 mm, all supported by a wheelbase of 3,350 mm.
This car is designed with a completely flat floor and a tech-filled interior. It showcases a futuristic steering wheel and a large touch screen placed next to the passenger seat. This screen will house all the car’s entertainment systems and other controls.
As this is a concept version, the front seats are styled in an unconventional way and will likely be modified for the production model. Nevertheless, it is evident that the front occupants will have ample legroom to appreciate the spacious cabin.
The LF-ZL Concept by Lexus is designed as a four-seater, with the rear passengers benefiting from reclining seats that come with footrests and a small bamboo partition. Similar to the LF-ZC, the LF-ZL features a new operating system called Arene, which comprehends and predicts the driver’s needs to personalize the driving experience.
Lexus declares that the LF-ZL concept will be equipped with advanced high-performance prism-shaped batteries, resulting in a significantly improved operational range compared to traditional electric vehicles.
Lexus has not yet confirmed whether the LF-ZL will go into production or not.
