In early June, various promotions were offered for 7-seater SUV models to clear out the remaining 2022 production cars. Among them, popular models like the Ford Everest and Hyundai Santa Fe had discounts of over 200 million VND.
Hyundai Santa Fe continues to offer unbeatable prices
Hyundai’s large-sized SUV model recorded its biggest discount of the year. At the end of Q1, Hyundai Santa Fe buyers could get discounts of 160-180 million VND at many dealerships.
By early June, a reporter’s survey found that many dealerships increased the discount to almost 240 million VND. When contacting a Hyundai dealership in Ho Chi Minh City, the consultant stated that the 7-seater SUV currently has discounts of 100-200 million VND depending on the production year.
“The dealership still has a small number of 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe models, so they are being heavily discounted to clear out the inventory. Additionally, customers who purchase cars in June will receive a gift package including a camera and floor mats,” the person added.

However, discount programs may vary at different dealerships. A consultant from another Hyundai dealership in Hanoi stated that the discount for 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe models with VIN is over 240 million VND.
“The price of the standard diesel version of the Hyundai Santa Fe is now 985 million VND. The premium diesel version is priced at around one billion VND. However, there is still limited stock, so customers will have fewer color options,” the person shared.
Therefore, by mid-year, the price of the 7-seater SUV starts at 985-1.1 billion VND. With the standard diesel version, after adding on-road costs, the price is now around one billion VND, which is lower than the previously listed price.
Ford Everest and Toyota Fortuner with 100 million VND discount
Previously, the 2022 Ford Everest had a discount of around 60-80 million VND to clear out the inventory. In June, many dealerships further reduced the prices to quickly sell the remaining stock.
A consultant at a Ford dealership in Ho Chi Minh City mentioned that the dealership currently covers 50% of the registration fee for all Ford Everest cars. Additionally, the 2022 Ford Everest with VIN receives a discount of up to 100 million VND.
“The dealership offers a 100 million VND discount for the 2022 Ford Everest, and the 2023 VIN cars also have discounts of about 60-80 million VND,” the person added.

For the 2023 VIN cars, customers can still receive discounts of up to 80 million VND depending on the version. The person also mentioned that the stock of 2022 production year cars at many dealerships is still limited, so customers may have fewer color options.
However, this promotion program has not yielded positive results as sales of this SUV model dropped to below 800 cars per month. According to the April sales report by the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (VAMA), Ford Vietnam only sold 754 Everest units, a decrease of over 30% compared to the previous month in Q1 (1,088 units).
Toyota Vietnam is currently offering a discount of over 100 million VND for the 2022 Toyota Fortuner model to boost sales in June. Many dealerships mentioned that this 7-seater SUV is currently discounted by 100-125 million VND depending on the version.
However, when talking to a Toyota dealership in Ho Chi Minh City, the consultant indicated that there is only one remaining Legender version with 2022 VIN at the dealership and limited stock. Customers interested in other versions should check with other available dealerships.
“The Hyundai Santa Fe with 2022 VIN is now in limited stock with limited color options,” the person commented.
Currently, the Toyota Fortuner is available in the Vietnamese market in a total of 7 versions, with prices ranging from 1.026 billion VND to 1.47 billion VND.
