Lynk & Co 09: A Premium SUV Rivaling Ford Explorer, Now Available in Vietnam, Starting from 2.2 Billion Dong.

On December 16, 2023, Lynk & Co, the Chinese car brand, officially launched in the Vietnamese market. The brand, owned by Geely Group, will be distributing cars in Vietnam through the GreenLynk Automotives Joint Stock Company.

During the launch event, Lynk & Co introduced three SUV models: 01, 05, and 09. Among them, only the price of the Lynk & Co 09 has been announced, starting from 2.199 billion VND. This price positions Lynk & Co as a premium brand within Geely Group.

Compared to its competitors in the large SUV segment such as the Ford Explorer and Volkswagen Teramont, the Lynk & Co 09 offers a competitive price. However, it is still more expensive than the Hyundai Palisade.

Large-sized SUV Lynk & Co 09 officially introduced in Vietnam, priced at nearly 2.2 billion VND

The Lynk & Co 09 is the largest and most expensive product offered by the brand in Vietnam. Developed based on the SPA platform, the car has dimensions of 5,042 x 1,977 x 1,780 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,984 mm.

The Lynk & Co 09 features the distinctive exterior design synonymous with the brand. This is evident in its front-end design, which includes a large grille and a two-tiered lighting system. The LED headlights come with four lighting modes, including city, rural, highway, rain, and fog.

The Lynk & Co 09 is equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels, featuring a strong multi-spoke design. The car also incorporates hidden retractable door handles to improve aerodynamics and create a sleeker side profile. At the rear, the Lynk & Co 09 boasts LED taillights with a 3D energy bar design, dual exhaust pipes, and an integrated windshield wiper. The unique design of the windshield wiper not only enhances aesthetics but also improves durability, as claimed by Lynk & Co.

Inside, the Lynk & Co 09 offers a spacious 3-row interior with 7 seats. The brand claims that all windows, including the sunroof, feature double-layered soundproof and heat-insulated glass to enhance passenger comfort.

Lynk & Co 09 features a modern interior with 6 screens

As for the interior, the Lynk & Co 09 exudes a modern, high-tech ambiance. It features 6 screens, including a digital instrument cluster with a 12.3-inch screen, a 12-inch center touchscreen, a head-up display, a touchscreen for air conditioning adjustment, and 2 small screens integrated into 2 rotary knobs. The center touchscreen supports smartphone connectivity through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Additionally, the Lynk & Co 09 offers luxurious features such as a leather-wrapped steering wheel, Nappa leather seats, 8-way power-adjustable/front-cooled seats, memory function for the driver’s seat, unique aluminum trim on the dashboard, wireless phone charging, Bose 14-speaker sound system, dual-zone automatic air conditioning with intelligent air filtration, push-button start, keyless entry, auto-dimming rearview mirror, and interior ambient lighting.

To ensure the safety of its users, the Lynk & Co 09 is equipped with various safety features. These include 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera, hill start assist, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic parking assist, emergency lane-keeping assist, lane-change assist, adaptive cruise control, highway driving assist, door-open collision warning, emergency automatic braking, pre-collision warning, active headlights, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and driver attention warning.

Powering the Lynk & Co 09 is a mild hybrid powertrain. It consists of a turbocharged 4-cylinder gasoline engine with a displacement of 2.0L. This engine delivers a maximum power of 254 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 350 Nm at 1,800 – 4,800 rpm. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system. The Lynk & Co 09 has an average fuel consumption of 8.9 liters/100 km. It also offers 4 standard driving modes (Eco, Normal, Sport, Individual) and 4 off-road driving modes (snow, sand, rock, mud).
