Lynk & Co 09: China’s SUV alternative to Hyundai Palisade, now available in Vietnam for 2.2 billion VND

Following the footsteps of Wuling and Haval, Lynk & Co has officially entered the Vietnamese market in 2023 as the third Chinese car brand. On December 16th, the company unveiled the Lynk & Co 09 alongside three other models, namely Lynk & Co 01, 03+, and 05.

Lynk & Co is a sub-brand of the well-known Chinese automaker, Geely. GreenLynk Automotives, a joint venture company, will handle the distribution of Lynk & Co cars in the Vietnamese market.

During the launch event, it was announced that the Lynk & Co 09 has a starting price of 2.199 billion VND in Vietnam. This SUV competes in the large SUV segment and rivals popular models such as the Hyundai Palisade, Ford Explorer, and Volkswagen Teramont.

Built on Geely’s SPA platform, the Lynk & Co 09 boasts dimensions of 5,042 x 1,977 x 1,780 mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase of 2,984 mm. It features the distinct Lynk & Co design, characterized by elevated headlights and a lower LED headlight cluster connected to the grille. The rear end showcases blocky taillights that extend from the sides and cross over the trunk.

Inside the Lynk & Co 09, you’ll find numerous modern and high-end features. The cabin boasts four display screens, including a 12.3-inch screen behind the steering wheel, a 12.8-inch central screen, a function key touch screen, and a heads-up display on the windshield. Other notable amenities include a Bose 14-speaker sound system, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, wireless charging, ambient LED lighting, and power-adjustable, ventilated Nappa leather seats with memory function for the driver’s seat.

The Lynk & Co 09 is also equipped with a wide array of safety features, such as six airbags, a 360-degree camera, hill start assist, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic parking assist, emergency lane keeping assist, lane change assist, adaptive cruise control, high-level driving assist, door opening collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pre-collision warning, active headlights, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and driver attention warning.

The Lynk & Co 09 is equipped with a mild hybrid powertrain, consisting of a turbocharged 2.0L gasoline engine that delivers a maximum output of 254 horsepower and a peak torque of 350 Nm. It is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and features all-wheel drive. The SUV offers four standard driving modes (Eco, Normal, Sport, Individual) and four off-road driving modes (snow, sand, rock, mud).

In addition to the Lynk & Co 09, Lynk & Co is also accepting deposits for two other SUV models, namely the Lynk & Co 01 and 05. As part of the company’s promotional policy, customers who place a deposit of 10 million VND will receive free maintenance for five years and a free vehicle registration package (excluding registration tax). Moreover, customers who deposit 50 million VND will enjoy free maintenance for five years, a free vehicle registration package (excluding registration tax), and two years of comprehensive insurance. This program is applicable to customers who place a deposit between December 4th, 2023, and January 5th, 2024. Additionally, the first 18 customers who purchase a Lynk & Co vehicle and receive it in January 2024 will have an opportunity to visit the factory in China.
