Following a consultation with a sales representative, it has been confirmed that the MG HS will officially return to the Vietnamese market by the end of the year.
“The expected launch timing for the MG HS in the Vietnamese market is November. The car will be directly imported from Thailand and will come in 3 different versions,” the representative revealed.
At the moment, the sale price of the MG HS for its relaunch in Vietnam has not been disclosed. However, with the change to importing from Thailand rather than China, it is believed that the sale price for this relaunch will be lower than the previous listed price.
The sales representative also mentioned that all details about this car model are still unknown. Currently, the only confirmed information regarding the return of the MG HS to the Vietnamese market is as previously stated.
Addressing rumors of the possibility of the MG HS launching in Vietnam as early as July, a salesperson confirmed that this information is inaccurate.
“The dealership has not received any information about the MG HS launch event in Vietnam, so the possibility of this car model being launched as early as next month is unlikely. The deposit policy for Vietnamese customers for this C-segment SUV is also not available at this time,” the salesperson noted.
Prior to this, MG Vietnam representatives had confirmed that they would reintroduce the MG HS to the Vietnamese market, adding it to the existing lineup that includes the MG5 and MG ZS.

The MG HS first entered the Vietnamese market in July 2020, with completely imported units from China. The initial selling price for this C-segment SUV ranged from 788-999 million VND, but was later adjusted to 719-869 million VND.
In September 2022, the MG HS temporarily disappeared from the MG product range in the Vietnamese market due to vehicle shortages. However, the MG product line currently consists of only 2 models, the MG5 and MG ZS.
With its return to the Vietnamese market, the MG HS will once again compete against several well-known names in the C-segment SUV segment such as the Mazda CX-5 (739-922 million VND), Honda CR-V (from 998 million VND to 1.138 billion VND), Hyundai Tucson (from 845 million to 1.060 billion VND), and the newcomer Ford Territory with a listed price range of 822-935 million VND.
