The official arrival of the Porsche 911 Dakar 2023 offroad sports car in Vietnam in early December caught the attention of many users.
After approximately 2 weeks, the car was registered, and the owner was finally disclosed.
The white Porsche 911 Dakar 2023 belongs to businessman Nguyen Ngoc Hieu, who is also known as the owner of the podcast channel “HIEU.TV,” where he shares insights about finance and life experiences.
Hieu TV’s Porsche 911 Dakar 2023 has the license plate number 51K-850.88. He auctioned off this license plate online for 155 million VND.
This third Porsche 911 Dakar 2023, which is substantially different from the previous two imported Porsches, features a white exterior with black details on the front and rear bumpers as well as wheel arches. In contrast to the numbered logo, the car is adorned with a “HIEU.TV” decal and personalized accents.
The car retains the 19-inch Zoll Dakar wheels in the front and 20-inch wheels in the rear, along with red brake calipers and off-road tires.
The Porsche 911 Dakar 2023 is based on the platform of the standard 911 Carrera but has undergone upgrades to enhance its off-road capabilities. Porsche has refined the suspension system, raising the ground clearance by 80mm compared to the regular 911 models, resulting in a total ground clearance of 200mm.
Upon activating the Off-road High Level mode, the ground clearance further increases by 30mm. This allows the car to have ground clearance and off-road performance on par with typical SUVs, enabling it to tackle speed bumps and road humps without worrying about scraping the underside. The mode automatically deactivates when the car exceeds a speed of 170 km/h.
The Porsche 911 Dakar is powered by a 3.0L 6-cylinder boxer engine, generating 473 horsepower and 570 Nm of torque. It is equipped with an 8-speed PDK automatic transmission and AWD. This power allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 240 km/h. Additionally, the car features 2 driving modes, Rallye and Off-road, accompanied by Rallye Launch Control to optimize traction by an additional 20%.
In Vietnam, the official import price of the Porsche 911 Dakar is around 15.3 billion VND (excluding additional options).
