After two consecutive price reductions, the Mazda CX-30 in Vietnam has recently been adjusted to an increased proposed retail price.

Mazda Vietnam has recently updated the new prices of the CX-30 with a 25 million dong increase for both versions. After the adjustment, the Luxury version of the CX-30 is priced at 689 million dong, while the new price of the Premium version is 729 million dong.

This is the first price increase of the Mazda CX-30 in 2023. Previously, in May 2023, the company adjusted the price down by 100-110 million dong for this model, down to 709-749 million dong. In September 2023, the company announced a further reduction of 45 million dong, bringing the price down to 664-704 million dong.

Despite multiple price adjustments, the Mazda CX-30 still has a lower price than its competitors in the B+ SUV/CUV segment. Specifically, the Honda HR-V currently has a starting price of 699 million dong and the Toyota Corolla Cross has a starting price of 760 million dong, both higher than the starting price of 689 million dong for the Mazda CX-30. In addition, the new starting price of the CX-30 is on par with the mid-range version of B-segment SUVs/CUVs such as the Kia Seltos 1.6 AT Premium (689 million dong) or the Hyundai Creta 1.5 Special (690 million dong).

Although it is a popular model in many countries, the Mazda CX-30 does not have good sales numbers in the Vietnam market. According to VAMA’s sales report, as of the end of October 2023, this model has sold only 1,292 units, ranking below the Toyota Corolla Cross, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Honda HR-V in the B/B+ SUV segment sales race.

In addition to the CX-30, many other Mazda models have also been adjusted with increased prices recently. The CX-5 has increased by 5 million dong for all 2.0L versions except the standard Deluxe variant. Meanwhile, the CX-3 has increased by 8-10 million dong, with the addition of a new standard version and some additional features.
