The thrilling emotions at the Zhuhai international race track, China, marked the end of the second day of stage 5 of ARRC 2023. The Honda Racing Vietnam team demonstrated their great determination as they competed against top Asian racers.

In the AP250 race category, racer Cao Viet Nam, who unfortunately crashed in Race 1, entered Race 2 with the determination to make a strong comeback.

Starting from the 7th position, the Vietnamese racer, number 65, had an impressive race day. In the first 3 laps, he maintained his position in the Top 10. From lap 4 onwards, Cao Viet Nam accelerated and climbed up to the Top 5, constantly competing for the 4th and 5th positions in the following laps.

Notably, in the final lap, Cao Viet Nam unexpectedly surpassed formidable opponents, securing the 3rd position. The opportunity to step onto the podium seemed within reach for racer 65. International commentators even praised Cao Viet Nam’s impressive performance. However, a regrettable incident occurred as he faced an unfortunate accident at the Zhuhai race track, causing him to drop down. Finishing the 10 laps, Cao Viet Nam could only reach 8th place, scoring 8 points.

Although unable to step onto the podium at stage 5 of ARRC 2023, we can witness the determination, courage, and great potential of the “crazy guy”. Hopefully, the regrets in China will serve as motivation for Honda Racing Vietnam’s racer number 65 to excel even more in the final stage of ARRC 2023.

Meanwhile, Cao Viet Nam’s teammate, Nguyen Duc Thanh, also had a determined day of racing. He finished in 17th place, significantly improving from his 22nd starting position.

In the UB 150 race category, the competition was equally fierce. The two racers from the Honda Racing Vietnam team, Nguyen Anh Tuan (number 178) and Nguyen Huu Tri (number 111), also put in great effort, finishing in 17th and 20th place respectively, improving their performance compared to Race 1.

Let’s continue to cheer for the Vietnamese racers to have strong and successful performances in the upcoming final stage of the ARRC 2023 season.
