Regular maintenance is essential for a smooth and safe operation of vehicles, as well as for long-term cost savings. By regularly maintaining and inspecting vehicles, issues can be identified and addressed early on, preventing costly repairs in the future. In addition, regular maintenance contributes to driver comfort and convenience, resulting in a better driving experience. Furthermore, proper care helps vehicles maintain energy efficiency, leading to energy savings and reduced emissions, which positively impact the environment.

For many car owners, the manufacturer’s maintenance policy plays a significant role in their decision-making process when choosing a car model. This often leads to hesitancy in owning fully imported European cars, as there is a perception that maintenance costs are typically higher. Additionally, European imported cars tend to have high prices, a limited number of authorized repair shops, scarce spare parts, and long waiting times. These challenges often create hesitation among consumers when deciding to purchase European cars.

Recently, Skoda Vietnam has revealed their maintenance costs, which have come as a pleasant surprise to users. The notable point is that these costs are relatively affordable, only slightly higher than Korean and Japanese car brands. This is something unprecedented for a fully imported European car brand in Vietnam.

The maintenance cycle for Skoda cars is either 7,500 kilometers or 1 year, depending on whichever comes first. Unlike most other car brands in the market, Skoda cars do not have an initial 1,000-kilometer maintenance cycle. The average cost of regular maintenance is highly competitive compared to their competitors. For example, with the Skoda Kodiaq Style 2.0 – the highest version of Skoda available in the Vietnamese market, the first maintenance costs only about 2.4 million VND, and the fourth maintenance at 30,000 kilometers is approximately 5.4 million VND.

When considering the total maintenance costs at each mileage interval and comparing them with other cars in the same segment, Skoda’s costs can be considered highly competitive.

In addition, the lack of spare parts is a common problem faced by many European car owners. Skoda Vietnam has addressed this issue by importing ready-made spare parts, ensuring a ready supply whenever customers need them.

Furthermore, as a part of the Volkswagen Group, Skoda shares the MQB platform and chassis with other brands under the group, such as Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini, Porsche, and Volkswagen. This advantage allows Skoda to use many common parts with other European brands, not only enhancing the supply of spare parts for Skoda but also supporting car owners of various European brands.

Skoda Vietnam currently offers a 3-year warranty policy with no mileage limit for all new cars purchased from authorized dealerships (according to Skoda Vietnam’s official website). Customers can benefit from warranty services at any authorized service center nationwide.
