The Suzuki Jimny 5-door is set to launch in the Philippines at the end of January. The car’s price in this Southeast Asian country is much lower compared to Vietnam.

Suzuki has officially announced the launch of the Jimny 5-door model in the Philippine market on January 25, 2024. This SUV will be available for sale in Southeast Asia for the first time.

In the Philippines, the Suzuki Jimny 5-door comes in two versions: GL MT and GLX AT. The official price of the car in this market has not yet been announced. However, dealerships in the country have quoted 1.558 million Peso (about 681 million VND) for the GL M/T version and 1.698 million Peso (742 million VND) for the GLX A/T version. The 2-tone GLX A/T version is priced 10,000 Peso higher (4.4 million VND). Compared to the 3-door version, the 5-door Suzuki Jimny is priced 300,000 to 378,000 Peso higher (131 – 165 million VND).

The Suzuki Jimny 5-door in the Philippines is available in various colors including Sizzling Red Metallic, Celestial Blue Pearl Metallic, Jungle Green, Granite Gray Metallic, Artic White Pearl, and Chiffon Ivory Metallic. Among these colors, the Sizzling Red Metallic and Chiffon Ivory Metallic options come with a contrasting black roof.

The Suzuki Jimny 5-door has dimensions of 3,985 x 1,645 x 1,720 mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase of 2,590 mm. This model features a square and rugged exterior design, reminiscent of famous off-road SUVs like the Mercedes-Benz G-Class or the Jeep Wrangler.

The 5-door Jimny comes with basic and sufficient equipment. On the exterior, this SUV is equipped with LED headlights/taillights, 15-inch alloy wheels, 195/80R15 tires, and a spare tire. The interior of the car features a design similar to the Suzuki Swift, including a 3-spoke steering wheel, analog instrument cluster, a 7-inch floating infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, single-zone automatic air conditioning, AM/FM/Radio/MP3/WMA system, SD card slot, Bluetooth connectivity, USB port, and 2 speakers.

The Suzuki Jimny is powered by a K15B gasoline engine with 4 cylinders in a straight line, 1.5L displacement, producing a maximum power of 100 hp and 130 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission and a 4-wheel drive system.

Targeting customers who are sports enthusiasts and enjoy off-road driving and outdoor activities, the Suzuki Jimny is a small-sized SUV with 4-wheel drive and an active transfer case.

In terms of safety features, the car is equipped with basic driving assist features such as ABS anti-lock braking system, electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), brake assist (BA), electronic stability program (ESP), traction control system (TCS), hill start assist, hill descent control, and 2 front airbags.

The 3-door Suzuki Jimny is already on display at some dealerships in Vietnam, but the official launch date has not been confirmed. According to the latest information from dealers, this SUV is expected to be officially released in March 2024 with an expected price of around 789-799 million VND.
