He is best known for restoring and transforming Audrey Hepburn’s villa in Port Antonio into a thriving tourist destination. In addition, Jon’s Gee Street studio has played a crucial role in launching the careers of prominent rappers Doug E. Fresh and P.M. Dawn.
But Jon Baker’s talents do not end there. He is also a passionate collector and restorer of vintage cars in Jamaica. Through his unique hobby, Jon aims to preserve Jamaica’s cultural heritage and ensure that these magnificent vehicles continue to glide along the roads, rather than deteriorating in a scrapyard. Noteworthy vehicles include the legendary Bob Marley’s blue two-door Range Rover, a 1991 Alfa Romeo driven by a former beauty queen, a 1968 Austin Healey 3000, and a 1963 Jaguar E-Type 3.8 Roadster.
