The M1079 military truck has been upgraded by Oracle Lighting to become an exceptional vehicle for expeditions.
SEMA Show stands for Specialty Equipment Market Association and was founded in 1967. Each year, the association organizes a trade show called the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, USA, showcasing aftermarket products.
Running from October 31st to November 4th, SEMA Show 2023 features a variety of custom vehicles with different styles. Many of these vehicles are produced by automotive accessory companies or custom car groups. One of the highlights at this year’s show is the modified M1079 military truck presented by Oracle Lighting.
M1079, initially a light military truck built by the US military in the 1980s, has been transformed by Oracle Lighting into an off-road vehicle capable of conquering even the most rugged environments. The modifications include a customized bumper with a new 7-inch LED headlight system, LED logo lights, a 9-inch LED beacon light on the roof rack, and a 5-inch LED light bar. The truck is also equipped with a synthetic rope winch with a maximum pulling capacity of 8,164 kg. It can be powered by either a diesel engine or an electric motor. The military truck is powered by a turbo-diesel Caterpillar 6.6L engine mated to a seven-speed automatic Allison transmission.
For long expeditions, the truck features a 1,000W solar energy system. It also has a power-adjustable awning, a large Go Rhino roof rack with a cargo basket, and a stylish Nardo Grey paint job.
Inside, the Oracle Lighting modification omits toilet and bathroom facilities, preferring to create an interior reminiscent of a nightclub. The truck features two leather and Alcantara seats, ambient lighting, Bluetooth speakers, and storage compartments.
Justin Hartenstein, the development director of Oracle Lighting, emphasized that “the design of the M1079 reflects our team’s passion for outdoor activities.” This vehicle truly embodies the company’s spirit and is perfect for long expeditions.
