After being launched in the Vietnam market on November 22nd, the Toyota Alphard made a swift entrance in dealerships for display. Furthermore, a number of vehicles were promptly delivered to customers who had pre-ordered the car.

This Toyota Alphard 2023 is one such example, having been ordered by an individual customer and handed over during a special car delivery event at an authorized dealership. The price was not disclosed, but another private individual also handed over 3 Alphard cars to customers. This demonstrates the enduring appeal of this Japanese MPV, even with its price tag of up to 4.37 billion VND.

The fourth-generation Alphard was globally launched in June 2023, developed on the TNGA-K platform, which is also shared by its “sibling,” the Lexus LM. In addition to enhancing the frame’s stiffness by 50% compared to its predecessor, the Japanese automaker also upgraded the suspension system to provide a more comfortable driving experience.

In terms of the exterior, the front of the car has undergone subtle changes while maintaining its distinctive design. The large radiator grille is seamlessly integrated with daytime running lights. The LED headlights come equipped with adaptive technology (AHS). The familiar Alphard logo has been relocated to the side of the front seats, making way for the manufacturer’s emblem.

The dimensions of the car measure at 5,010 × 1,850 × 1,950 mm (length × width × height) with a wheelbase length of 3,000 mm. These measurements have slightly increased compared to the previous generation, with the 2023 Alphard being 65 mm longer and 60 mm taller. The design of the side mirrors has been updated to feature mirror heating and position memory.

The 2023 Toyota Alphard boasts aesthetically pleasing wheels with a finished multi-spoke design in two tones. All four wheels have a size of 19 inches. The surface finish combines bright and dark shades, adding a youthful and sporty vibe to the MPV without compromising its luxurious appeal.

The rear end is visually striking, thanks to the LED taillights sporting a sleek and eye-catching 3D design. The trunk can be conveniently opened and closed electrically using buttons located on both sides. The two prominent creases on the sides inject a sense of dynamism and prevent the rear from appearing overtly square, a marked departure from its predecessor.

Stepping inside, the 2023 Toyota Alphard exudes refinement with a more sophisticated and seamless design on the dashboard. The overall finishing quality has been significantly improved. The extended wood trim extends from the center console to the dashboard, adding a touch of luxury. The gear lever features a neat and modern design, distinct from the somewhat rugged styling of its predecessor.

The center control panel boasts a minimalist layout with fewer buttons. In the center, there is a 14-inch touchscreen display flanked by a rotary knob for adjusting the air conditioning settings. Behind the steering wheel, a 12.3-inch multi-information display takes the place of the analog gauges found in the previous Alphard model.

The second-row seats illustrate the Japanese automaker’s emphasis on user comfort with their embracing and sophisticated design. Equipped with 2 independent business-class seats, users can comfortably adjust settings such as heating/cooling, massage, and footrest.

A hidden working desk is cleverly integrated into the armrest console, featuring a luxurious brown wood trim and an integrated vanity mirror. Each seat comes with a removable screen about the size of a phone, allowing users to adjust various features such as side windows, sunroofs, curtains, interior ambient lighting, the audio system, and other seat functions.

A TV screen is also installed on the car’s ceiling to entertain passengers seated in the second row.

The third-row seats continue to provide ample space and come with amenities such as curtains, separate air conditioning, storage compartments, and two Type-C charging ports. However, these seats lack power adjustment, and when storing items, users are required to fold them and secure them on both sides.

The MPV, priced over 4.3 billion VND, boasts an array of safety and driver assistance technologies. These include collision warning, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control. All of these features are included in the comprehensive Toyota Safety Sense safety package. Additionally, there are rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot warning, 360-degree cameras, and 6 airbags.

This Toyota Alphard 2023 model is equipped with a turbocharged 2.4-liter gasoline engine, generating a maximum power of 275 horsepower and a maximum torque of 430 Nm. It is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The hybrid version, priced higher at 4.475 billion VND, combines a 2.5L gasoline engine generating 185 horsepower with a powerful 180 horsepower electric motor.
