Toyota Camry 2024 launches in Asia: Prices start at 596 million VND

The 2024 Toyota Camry will be available in 9 different versions, with prices ranging from 173,800 to 208,800 CNY (approximately 596 to 716 million VND).

The 9th generation Toyota Camry is still based on the TNGA platform, but it has undergone a complete transformation inside and out.

The front of the car features a redesigned headlight cluster, a black lower grille, and repositioned front parking sensors. The radiator grille comes in two types: a black honeycomb grille that emphasizes sportiness and a frameless grille that matches the body color, highlighting luxury and fashion.

On the side, the car retains elongated crease lines from the front fender to the taillights. It also comes with multi-spoke wheels ranging in size from 17-19 inches (depending on the version). At the back, there is a sleeker and smoother “C” shaped taillight cluster, along with a revised bumper.

Inside the cabin, the interior of the 2024 Toyota Camry has been significantly upgraded compared to the previous generation. The car is equipped with a redesigned 7-inch digital instrument cluster, while the 8-inch infotainment screen is placed on the center console.

The wood trim features touch-sensitive buttons, and the center control panel has been redesigned. Other features include a 9 JBL audio speaker system, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, keyless start, wireless phone charging, power-adjustable/heated/cooled seats, a HUD windshield display with augmented reality technology, Huawei HiCar integration, a panoramic 2-piece sunroof, 15W wireless phone charging, an 11-speaker sound system, and 64-color interior ambient lighting.

The top-of-the-line version of the car features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and center screen. Below the center screen, there is a touch surface integrated into the dashboard for adjusting the air conditioning.

In addition, the 2024 Toyota Camry in China is equipped with an operating system developed by Huawei, which enhances voice control features through AI artificial intelligence. The car also supports additional applications such as WeChat, GPS, and software updates via WiFi.

The 2024 Toyota Camry offers three engine options in the Chinese market. The first is a 2.0L 4-cylinder gasoline engine paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

The second option is a hybrid powertrain with a 2.0L gasoline engine, generating a maximum power of 197 horsepower and an average fuel consumption of only 4.2 liters/100 km. The third option is a hybrid powertrain with a 2.5L gasoline engine.

In terms of safety features, the all-new Camry is equipped with the standard Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 safety package. This system includes advanced features such as pre-collision warning, adaptive cruise control, lane departure assist, road sign assist, automatic headlights, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
