Toyota Thailand has recently launched the Modellista upgrade package for the 2023 Fortuner Leader and Legender models in the Thai market. Similar to the previous Vios Modellista version, the 2023 Toyota Fortuner Modellista also features slight changes in its appearance.
The Modellista accessory package is priced at 69,500 Baht (equivalent to 48.5 million VND) for the 2023 Toyota Fortuner Leader and 59,500 Baht (equivalent to 41.5 million VND) for the Fortuner Legender.
Overall, the Toyota Fortuner looks more luxurious than the standard version after being equipped with the Modellista accessory package. The car features new front and rear bumpers.
In addition, there are black glossy “Modellista” letterings on the hood and new “Y” shaped chrome moldings on the front corners.
However, each version of the Fortuner will have some distinct equipment. In the 2023 Toyota Fortuner Leader, the car comes equipped with a set of 20-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, painted in gray.
The wheel caps of the car feature the “Modellista” logo, while the tires have a size of 265/50 R20.
The 2023 Toyota Fortuner was officially launched in the Thai market in early August this year. In Thailand, the car is available in 3 versions: Leader (standard version), Legender, and GR Sport. Among them, the Leader version stands out the most as it has been upgraded in terms of both appearance and equipment.
In terms of design, the 2023 Toyota Fortuner Leader features an upgraded front end with a 2-tier grille and front fog lamp recess similar to the Fortuner Legender version. Additionally, the car also has new black side step bars, 18-inch alloy wheels similar to the Legender version, and black decorative trim on the rear tailgate.
The remaining features of the car remain the same as the previous version, such as LED headlights with automatic on/off and automatic high/low adjustment, LED front fog lights, silver decorative trim under the front bumper, power-adjustable and power-folding mirrors with integrated turn signals/courtesy lights, LED taillights, high mount LED stop lamp, power tailgate opening/closing, and shark fin antenna.
Inside the cabin of the 2023 Fortuner Leader, the seats are covered in black leather, and this version also comes with a new PM2.5 air filter system. Some other notable features include a 4-way adjustable steering wheel, 6-way power-adjustable front seats, a 4.2-inch color multi-information display in the instrument cluster, an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto support, anti-glare rearview mirror, engine start button, automatic air conditioning, and a 6-speaker sound system.
The safety features of the new Toyota Fortuner Leader include 7 airbags, hill start assist, hill descent control, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, reverse camera, front/rear parking sensors, and electronic stability control. The front/rear sensors, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic alert are new features.
In terms of the engine, the 2023 Toyota Fortuner Leader in Thailand is powered by a 2.4L 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine with 150 horsepower and a maximum torque of 400 Nm. It is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters on the steering wheel and the option of 1WD or 2WD. The car offers 3 driving modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport.
In Thailand, the 2023 Toyota Fortuner Leader has 3 trim levels with prices ranging from 1.371 – 1.56 million Baht (approximately 957 million to 1.08 billion VND). Meanwhile, the prices of the Toyota Fortuner Legender 2023 in the Thai market range from 1.603 – 1.859 million Baht (equivalent to 1.11 – 1.29 billion VND).
