Toyota Wigo 2023 is set to launch in early June. The latest news from Toyota Vietnam confirms that the A-segment car will be officially introduced on June 6th. Originally, the launch was planned for May 24th, but it has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. |
The return of Toyota Wigo after a long hiatus is expected to bring more options to the small car segment. Currently, the competition in this category is primarily between Hyundai Grand i10 and Kia Morning.
However, with its comeback, Toyota Wigo also faces stiff competition from other segments such as B-segment sedans, compact SUVs, and even affordable electric cars.
In Vietnam, the Toyota Wigo 2023 comes equipped with LED lights, fabric seats, a 7-inch center screen, and paddle shifters. It also boasts safety features like hill-start assist, blind spot warning, and rear cross-traffic alert.
Under the hood, the Wigo 2023 is powered by a 1.2L engine, producing 87 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm. It comes with a front-wheel-drive system and is available with either a 5-speed manual or CVT transmission.
According to a consultant at a Toyota dealership in Ho Chi Minh City, the Toyota Wigo will be available in 2 versions in Vietnam: 1.2 MT and 1.2 AT. The expected price range is between 375 and 412 million VND, which is about 20-40 million VND higher compared to the previous generation model.
