The all-new Volkswagen Teramont X SUV has been officially introduced by Volkswagen Vietnam. The vehicle is now available for pre-order with an expected recommended retail price of 2.168 billion VND.
The Volkswagen Teramont X showcases a stylish and youthful design, accompanied by a range of modern amenities.
Equipped with the R-line sports package, the car features black accents on the bumper, wheels, and roof bars. The R logo is visible on the front grille, sides, and steering wheel. The brake calipers are highlighted with a striking red color. The Teramont X stands out with its VW logo that emits a glowing effect at the center.
The Teramont X comes with a 2-tier LED matrix headlights with 4 lighting modes that can automatically switch. These are IQ.LIGHT LED headlights – a front lighting system with adaptive lighting and dynamic light assist. The advanced lighting system helps to illuminate blind spots, allowing for confident driving at night or in adverse weather conditions.
The car boasts superior interior space and cargo capacity compared to its competitors in the same segment, with a wheelbase of 2980 mm. The specific dimensions are 4917 x 1989 x 1781 mm (length x width x height), with the legroom for the first and second rows measuring 1060 mm and 1026 mm, respectively. The flexible luggage compartment has a capacity ranging from 540 to 1719 liters, providing ample space for long journeys.
The car is equipped with a premium sound system from Harman Kardon, featuring 12 speakers and a Dolby 7.1 surround sound system with a power output of up to 700W. The entertainment system includes a 12-inch touchscreen display with gesture control, combined with a 10.25-inch multi-information display for the driver.
The panoramic sunroof with a “4-season” design covers an area of 1.18 square meters, providing a comprehensive view of the outside scenery. When combined with the large windows and spacious interior, the panoramic sunroof creates a transparent glass-like window from the ceiling to the floor, reminiscent of a luxurious house. Additionally, the glass material of the sunroof blocks 99% of harmful UV rays.
The Teramont X features the most advanced Volkswagen information and entertainment system – IQ. Intelligent Vehicle Connectivity (MOS 3.2+). Users can control the steering system, listen to music, adjust the temperature, and more in a more optimized way. This is operated by the high-speed MOS 3.2 “+” control technology, providing intuitive human-machine interaction, smooth processing, and more vivid visual effects.
The Teramont X is developed on the latest MQB Evo platform from Volkswagen. The transmission speed has increased from 500K to 2M thanks to the dual calculation of radar and camera. This allows for safer and smarter driving assistance technologies. The adaptive cruise control (ACC) speed range has been expanded from 0-210 km/h. The emergency braking system (AEB) has been improved for faster response. The rear vehicle detection range of the lane change assist system (LCA) has been optimized. With enhanced safety technology, the active driving system simplifies multidimensional driving situations, making driving easier.
The Teramont X features the 6th generation intelligent 4MOTION all-wheel drive system. With 8 driving modes and automatic power distribution between the front and rear axles, ranging from 5% – 95%, the Teramont X easily handles rough roads and ensures a smooth ride.
The latest generation 7-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission is equipped on the Teramont X, providing optimal torque transmission for smooth gear shifting, improved climbing ability, and acceleration.
In terms of safety features, the Teramont X is equipped with a range of driver assistance technologies, including driver attention alert, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), front/rear park distance control (PDC), hands-off detection (HOD), city emergency braking system (monitoring pedestrians, bicycles), forward collision warning (FCW), emergency brake assist (AEB), lane change assist, and 9 airbags.
The Teramont X is available in 4 exterior colors: Kings Red Metallic, Deep Black Metallic, Glacier White Pearl Effect, and Mondstel Gray, along with two interior colors: R-line and Titanium Black.
