Xpeng, a relatively young car company, has achieved remarkable success in recent years. Their sales figures for November have shown a significant increase.

According to Xpeng Motors’ statement on December 1, they delivered 20,041 new electric vehicles in November. This represents a 245% increase compared to the same period last year and a 0.2% growth compared to the previous month.

One of the main contributors to Xpeng’s sales is the Xpeng G6, a popular model among consumers. In November, 8,750 Xpeng G6 vehicles were delivered, accounting for 44% of the company’s sales. Since its launch, the cumulative delivery of Xpeng G6 has exceeded 36,000 units.

Xpeng’s performance has been steadily recovering in recent months. In the third quarter of 2023, the company reported cumulative deliveries of 40,008 vehicles, surpassing the milestone of 40,000 units. This represents an annual growth rate of 35%, with a monthly growth rate of 72% in the third quarter.

However, Xpeng faced challenges at the beginning of 2023, leading to a decline in sales during the first two quarters of the year. As of the end of November, year-to-date sales figures have increased by 11% compared to the same period last year.

The Chinese market has had a significant impact on Xpeng’s products, with competition from the new Tesla Model 3 and products using Huawei’s technology. Xpeng’s year-to-date losses have increased by 33% compared to the same period last year, reaching 9.03 billion yuan (1.28 billion USD). Despite these challenges, Xpeng remains optimistic about its future prospects.
