Zeekr will introduce two models in Southeast Asia: the 009 MPV and X SUV.
According to the Straits Times, Premium Automobiles has been appointed as the distributor for Zeekr in Singapore. The agreement was signed in late December 2023.
Zeekr’s showroom in Singapore will be located on Leng Kee Road in the first half of 2024, as stated by Premium Automobiles. The showroom will exclusively feature models from the Zeekr brand, while the company’s service workshop will be situated in the Ubi industrial area.
In Singapore, Zeekr plans to launch two models: the 009 MPV and X SUV. Deliveries will commence in the third quarter of 2024. Singapore, Hong Kong, and Macau will be the first regions to distribute right-hand drive electric cars.
In October 2023, Zeekr appointed Kam Lung Motor Group as the distributor in Hong Kong and Macau, and the company will begin producing right-hand drive cars as part of its expansion plans for these markets.
Zeekr is already available in Sweden, the Netherlands, and Germany in Europe, with plans to enter the Middle East and Central Asia markets.
Launched in November 2022, the Zeekr 009 is a luxury pure electric MPV. When introducing the Zeekr 009, Geely emphasized its status as one of the world’s safest MPV models, equipped with 30 default driving aids, including 12 short-range ultrasonic wave radars, one long-range radar, 4 panoramic 2MP cameras, and 7 8MP HD cameras.
On the other hand, the Zeekr X is an SUV model with breakthrough features and a distinctive personality. It is developed based on Geely’s Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA). One of the remarkable high-tech features of the Zeekr X is the facial recognition unlock function. The car is equipped with a 14.6-inch touchscreen display that allows users to interact through swipe gestures. It can smoothly transition from the main position to the auxiliary position, meeting both the driver’s functional requirements and entertainment needs.
The selling price of Zeekr models in Singapore has not been announced yet. However, the distributor states that Zeekr’s vehicles will have a “more competitive price” compared to luxury brands from Germany such as BMW and Mercedes.
