The Ford Mustang, a legendary sports car brand, has a rich history spanning 7 generations and 6 decades by 2024. Its impact on the automotive industry is undeniable. In fact, the popularity and recognition of the Ford Mustang led the American car company to bestow the name upon their new electric CUV, a high-performance SUV that runs on electricity. Introducing the Ford Mustang Mach-E, an electrifying addition to the Mustang family.
In November 2019, Ford unveiled the Mustang Mach-E. While it may not have the same wild horsepower as its predecessors, the Mustang name is a clear testament to Ford’s confidence in this electric crossover. Rather than giving it an entirely new name, Ford decided to add the “Mach-E” moniker to add a touch of exoticism.
Local showrooms wasted no time in importing the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT, an electric crossover that has already made waves in Vietnam. Based on our research, there are currently two Ford Mustang Mach-E cars in the country, both of them being the GT version. Surprisingly, only one of them has found an owner, while the very first one brought into the country two years ago is still seeking a buyer.
Despite significant price reductions by the showrooms, the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT electric crossover remains without an owner. As such, a luxury and supercar showroom in Hanoi recently announced that they are offering this electric CUV at a discounted price of only 3.3 billion VND, which is nearly 2 billion VND lower than its initial price. This move is driven by the need to sell the outdated car model quickly, minimizing losses.
The Ford Mustang Mach-E GT priced at 3.3 billion VND boasts standout features such as distinctive LED headlights, a front bumper with added air-intake, and side air vents with horizontal dividing bars. Additionally, the car is equipped with dual-spoke rims measuring 20 inches for the front wheels and 21 inches for the rear wheels, as well as red Brembo brake calipers.
At the rear of the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT, you’ll find three separate LED taillights, a signature design element commonly seen in other sports cars. The GT logo prominently displayed signifies that this is the premium and most powerful version of the Ford Mustang Mach-E. As an electric car, the Mustang Mach-E GT doesn’t have an exhaust system, but it does feature a sporty air diffuser with air channels reminiscent of the traditional Ford Mustang.
Gone are the traditional door handles, replaced by sleek buttons. The car comfortably seats 5 people and offers a spacious storage area capable of fitting large suitcases or a set of golf clubs, catering to the desires of Ford Mustang coupe owners. The Ford Mustang Mach-E GT boasts a dark interior color scheme, complemented by a massive 15.5-inch vertically-standing entertainment screen, delivering exciting experiences to users. A control knob is conveniently located below the screen.
The main highlight of the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT version is its powerful electric motor. With two electric motors powering all four wheels, the Mach-E GT delivers a remarkable 480 horsepower and a maximum torque of 860 Nm. As a result, the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT electric crossover can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. For those seeking even greater speed, the GT Performance Edition achieves the same feat in just 3.6 seconds.
The 88 kWh battery pack equips the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT with an impressive range of up to 500 km on a single charge, making it suitable for long journeys. Notably, the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT version supports a 150 kW charging system, allowing the car to quickly charge from 10% to 80% in just 45 minutes with a fast-charging system.
