The Honda Civic RS 2024 is distinguished by its sporty appearance, powerful engine, and manual transmission. The manufacturer has announced that this version will be officially released in the second half of this year.

At this year’s Tokyo Auto Salon exhibition, Honda showcased the Civic RS 2024 model. Although it is currently in the pre-production stage (prototype), the carmaker has confirmed that this hatchback model will be available for purchase in the second half of this year.

Based on the Civic Hatchback, the Honda Civic RS is positioned as a mid-range model below the high-performance Civic Type R. The standout feature of this car is its sportier front bumper design, with smaller air vents on both sides compared to the regular version. The distinctive red RS logo is placed on the grille and trunk, adding a touch of style and allowing customers to easily differentiate it from other versions. Additionally, the entire exterior of the Civic RS is coated in glossy satin black, giving it a mysterious and sporty look.

Honda has not yet disclosed the detailed specifications of the 2024 Civic RS. However, it is expected that this hatchback will be equipped with a 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder gasoline engine, generating a maximum power of 200 horsepower.

Notably, the Honda Civic RS 2024 will feature a 6-speed manual transmission. This detail has garnered significant interest among customers, as the Honda Civic in the Japanese market currently only offers a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

In addition, Honda has hinted that the new Civic RS will undergo fine-tuning to deliver a more enjoyable driving experience, suggesting that the chassis will be modified to complement its sporty appearance.
