Kia India has recently introduced the Sonet Facelift model, following its global debut just last month. The car’s price starts from 799,000 Rs (equivalent to 9,640 USD) and goes up to 1,569,000 Rs (18,931 USD).
The 2024 Kia Sonet is essentially an upgraded version of the first generation model, so the design changes are more evolutionary. It is available in 8 single-tone exterior paint colors and 2 dual-tone colors. In India, you can choose from various variants including HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, HTX+, GTX+, GT Line, and GT X Line.
The exterior design changes mainly focus on the front of the car. The LED daytime running lights are now larger and more prominent. The LED headlights appear to be similar to the previous version, while the grille and front bumper have been redesigned. The halogen projector fog lights have been replaced by stylish horizontal LED lights.
The rear taillights have also been redesigned to enhance the overall aesthetics of the new Sonet. Additionally, the rear bumper has undergone a redesign. The car now features new 16-inch alloy wheels with two different design styles.
Inside the cabin, the Sonet Facelift boasts a new digital instrument cluster that is shared with the Seltos facelift. Furthermore, the driver’s seat is now 4-way power-adjustable, which is a first in the sub-4m SUV segment in India.
Notably, the 2024 Kia Sonet Facelift is equipped with traction control, making it the first in its segment to feature this.
The car is also equipped with a front camera that provides a wider 360-degree view and a Level 1 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). This system offers 10 ADAS features that help enhance competitiveness with rival models.
Other features of the new 2024 Kia Sonet Facelift include automatic climate control, rear-seat air vents, an interior ambient lighting system, rear window blinds, an integrated air purifier, a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a sunroof, push-button start, a cooled glove box, cruise control, 6 airbags, steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters with AT variants, and premium Bose speakers with a subwoofer.
The engine options for the 2024 Kia Sonet Facelift remain the same as the previous version, which includes a 1.2L 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 82 horsepower/115 Nm, a 1.0L 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine producing 118 horsepower/172 Nm, and a 1.5L 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine producing 114 horsepower/250 Nm.
