VinFast has recently unveiled the first glimpses of its brand-new electric pickup truck in a short video.
It is anticipated that the debut of this model will take place at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024, which begins on January 9 (US time) or the early hours of January 10, as per Vietnam time.
The 6-second video provides a glimpse of the front section of the pickup truck. With its square and robust front, the truck features the signature wing-shaped daytime running lights, albeit with a slightly different design compared to its predecessors.
Being an electric vehicle, this pickup truck forgoes the traditional grille and positions the headlights lower than usual.
At present, VinFast has yet to officially disclose any specific information regarding this model. It is only known that the company will unveil two new vehicles at CES 2024, comprising an electric pickup truck and a compact urban car (VF 3).
Prior to this, VinFast had sought customer feedback on the design of their concept cars, which included a pickup truck concept in the D-segment. This development had sparked speculation about whether VinFast would introduce a new pickup truck model in the future.
If the production version falls into the D-segment category, this electric pickup truck is expected to share similar dimensions with the Ford Ranger, Mitsubishi Triton, and Toyota Hilux. However, VinFast will enjoy an advantage as the pioneer in electric pickup trucks in this segment.
