Discounted Price for the 5-Door Suzuki Jimny Now Available

The pricing for the 5-door version of the Suzuki Jimny has finally been announced after almost six months since its first release. This compact SUV, often compared to the iconic G-Class, will initially hit the Indian market exclusively.

Rushlane has reported that the Indian market now has the official prices for the 5-door version of the Suzuki Jimny. This model, often referred to as the “baby G-Class”, will come in 2 variants, Zeta and Alpha, with prices ranging from 1,274 million to 1,505 million Rupee ($15,430-$18,228).

The Zeta variant, equipped with a manual transmission, will have the lowest price among the 5-door Suzuki Jimny offerings in India. Meanwhile, the Alpha variant, featuring a 2-tone exterior and an automatic transmission, will have the highest price at 1,505 million Rupee ($18,228).

In India, customers will have a range of exterior color options for the 5-door Suzuki Jimny, including Nexa Blue, Bluish Black, Granite Gray, Pearl Arctic White, and Sizzling Red. Those who prefer 2-tone models can choose a body color of Sizzling Red or Kinetic Yellow combined with a Bluish Black roof color.

The 5-door Suzuki Jimny, as announced by the manufacturer, has a length of 3,985 mm, an increase of 340 mm compared to the 3-door version. The width and height remain the same at 1,645 mm and 1,720 mm respectively, while the wheelbase has slightly increased to 2,590 mm.

The ground clearance for the 5-door Jimny is 210 mm. Compared to the 3-door version, this variant weighs an additional 100 kg.

Standard equipment for the 5-door Suzuki Jimny includes fabric seats, manual air conditioning, and a 7-inch touchscreen.

The Alpha variant of the “baby G-Class” adds features such as push-button start, smart key, automatic air conditioning, and a 9-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto support.

Under the hood, the 5-door Suzuki Jimny is equipped with a 1.5L K15B petrol engine that delivers a maximum power of 105 hp at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 134.2 Nm at 4,000 rpm.

As of the end of May, the 5-door Suzuki Jimny has received a total of 30,000 pre-orders in India. It is expected that deliveries to Indian customers will begin in mid-June.

The 5-door Suzuki Jimny is produced exclusively for the Indian market and is manufactured at a factory in Gurugram. Suzuki’s distribution plans for this model in other markets around the world are still unclear.
