On January 18, 2023, Ford Vietnam held a ceremony at the Hai Duong factory to receive the First-class Labor Medal. The event was attended by representatives from central and local agencies, including the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Hai Duong province, Deputy Ministers of Planning and Investment, Industry and Trade, and Transport, the U.S Ambassador to Vietnam, Ms. Kay Hart, President of Ford for the international market, as well as many partners and distinguished guests. Ford Vietnam is regarded as a symbol of the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and the United States.
Ford Vietnam is honored to receive the First-class Labor Medal from the Vietnamese government, which was approved by the State President. This recognition signifies Ford’s 28-year presence in the Vietnamese market with notable achievements in production and business, contributing significantly to the socioeconomic development of the local community. The award also underscores Ford’s long-term commitment to investing in human development, products, dealer networks, customer experience, and community support in Vietnam.
In addition to this prestigious honor, Ford Vietnam achieved commendations from the Minister of Planning and Investment in 2023 for its outstanding performance in attracting foreign investment to Vietnam. Mr. Ruchik Shah, the General Director of Ford Vietnam, was also acknowledged for his contributions with the “For the cause of Planning and Investment” commemorative medal.

2023 marked a record-breaking year for Ford Vietnam, with over 38,300 vehicles sold, accounting for 10% of the market share. Ford continues to lead the market in the pickup segment with the Ranger, holding a 76% market share, in the mid-size SUV segment with the Everest (65% market share), and in the light commercial vehicle segment with the Transit (62% market share).
Ford Vietnam achieves record sales in 2023
In addition, Ford Vietnam continuously upgrades its dealer network to meet the increasing demands of customers. Its nationwide system of 43 dealerships has created over 5,000 jobs. The company also strives to provide a convenient journey for customers, from choosing and purchasing to owning Ford products. In recent years, several new service initiatives have been implemented, such as Online Service Booking, Pick-up and Delivery, and FordPass.
With the trust that Vietnamese customers have placed in Ford over the past 28 years, Ford has become one of the largest contributors to the budget of Hai Duong province. Besides its significant contributions to the local budget, Ford Vietnam remains committed to creating job opportunities for local workers, particularly in Hai Duong province. Currently, 90% of the factory’s labor force consists of Hai Duong workers, and 20% of the company’s employees are female workers.
In recent years, Ford Vietnam has actively participated in corporate social responsibility activities, including providing scholarships, establishing playgrounds and libraries for children, supporting during emergencies, and promoting traffic safety. The Ford Driving Skills for Life program, implemented for 16 years, has offered free training to over 17,000 drivers nationwide.
