Kia has unveiled the 2024 Carnival at the Singapore Motor Show 2024. This model is an upgraded version of the MPV that was launched globally in October 2023. The showcased variant is the Hybrid version.
In this upgrade, the car has undergone several refinements in its exterior design, with a focus on the front. The grille has been widened, giving the car a more robust look.
On either side of the grille, you’ll notice newly designed vertical headlights, along with an enhanced daytime running light strip in the shape of a “star map.”
The 2024 Kia Carnival is equipped with smart electric sliding doors, making it effortless for users to enter and exit the car.
At the rear, the backend of the 2024 Carnival appears sleeker without door handles for the trunk. The taillight cluster has also been redesigned to match the vertical shape of the headlights. There is also a noticeable change in the position of the Kia logo, which has been moved lower and no longer acts as a divider for the LED strip. Additionally, the reflector mounted on the bumper seems to be slimmer than before.
The two-tone cabin of the 2024 Kia Carnival exudes sophistication and luxury.
The central control cluster has been redesigned to simplify the layout by reducing the number of buttons. The car also comes with a touch screen control panel for the air conditioning system, similar to other recent Kia models such as the Sportage, Niro, and Sorento.
Moreover, you’ll notice the large curved display cluster, similar to the 2024 K5 model. This display combines a digital gauge cluster with an entertainment screen. Additionally, there are yellow accents on the dashboard.
Other highlights include the convenience of the Ergo Motion driver’s seat and the ability to update software via the Internet. The car also supports communication through the “Hey Kia” voice command.
The second-row seats consist of two independent premium leather seats.
The third-row space offers enough room for three adults to sit comfortably. Notable improvements include enhanced shock absorbers for a smoother driving experience and additional sound insulation materials for a quieter cabin.
Under the hood, you’ll find a new 1.6L turbocharged hybrid powertrain, delivering a combined output of 242 horsepower and a peak torque of 367 Nm. In the Korean market, customers also have the option to choose between the familiar 2.2L diesel engine and the 3.5L V6 gasoline engine.
In terms of technology, this MPV model comes equipped with various driver assistance systems, including Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Rear Collision Avoidance Assist, and Highway Driving Assist 2. It also features auto-leveling headlights, safe exit assist, lane-keeping assist, remote smart parking assist, and rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist.
