According to sales advice, Haval will introduce the Jolion, a B-segment SUV model in Vietnam in April 2024.
The car will be available in two versions: petrol and hybrid, with an estimated price of around 700 million VND.
If this information is accurate, the B-segment SUV/CUV market in Vietnam will become more competitive with the addition of two new models: Mitsubishi Xforce and Haval Jolion.
Haval Jolion has dimensions of 4,472 x 1,841 x 1,574 (L x W x H) and a wheelbase length of 2,700 mm, making it slightly larger than its competitors in the same segment.
Haval Jolion 2023 features a sporty and modern design. The front of the car is highlighted by a large “fallen star” grille, similar to its sibling model, Haval H6. It also boasts large LED headlights with 3 square-shaped lights arranged side by side, accompanied by a sleek daytime running light strip in the shape of the number 7, creating an eye-catching appearance.
The rear of the car showcases LED taillights with a design that mirrors the front, along with a shiny chrome rear bumper.
In addition, this B-segment SUV is equipped with other basic features such as a wind deflector, brake lights, shark fin antenna, and rear automatic wiper.
Inside the cabin, the Haval Jolion shares many similarities with the Haval H6. The car offers various modern conveniences, including a 3-spoke steering wheel with integrated function buttons, a 7-inch digital screen behind the steering wheel, a 12.3-inch center screen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, independent dual-zone air conditioning with rear vents, a 6-speaker sound system, a rotary knob gear lever, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, a USB charging port, and a panoramic sunroof.
The safety features of the Jolion in the Vietnamese market are currently unknown. However, in the Thai market, this model comes with an advanced ADAS safety package that includes lane keeping assist, emergency automatic braking, and blind spot warning. It also features a 360-degree camera, tire pressure sensors, front and rear collision sensors, and 6 airbags.
The car is available with two engine options: petrol and hybrid.
The hybrid powertrain combines a 1.5L 4-cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor, producing a total output of 190 horsepower and a maximum torque of 375 Nm.
In addition to the above engine, the Jolion features front-wheel drive and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The second option is a turbocharged 1.5L petrol engine with a power output of 147 horsepower and a torque of 220 Nm, also paired with the same transmission.
