On the morning of January 6, 2024, a car enthusiast in Lam Dong province discovered two Porsche 911 sports cars at a hotel in Da Lat city. The highlight was a white limited edition Porsche 911 Dakar, of which only 2,500 units were produced worldwide for avid Porsche sports car enthusiasts.
Further investigation revealed that this is the third Porsche 911 Dakar limited edition to arrive in Vietnam, owned by a car enthusiast with the nickname Hi?u T.V. Interestingly, the car owner has previously announced plans to take his Porsche 911 Dakar 2023 on a road trip from Saigon to Europe later this year, commemorating 60 years of the Porsche 911 series.

The recently traveled Porsche 911 Dakar 2023 owned by Hi?u T.V. from Saigon to Da Lat has a beautiful license plate number 51K-850.88. This license plate was obtained through online auction, with the highest bid amounting to 155 million VND, a reasonable price for enthusiasts of appealing license plates as it contains three number 8s and one number 5, avoiding any unlucky numbers such as 4 or 7.
An impressive feature of Hi?u T.V.’s Porsche 911 Dakar is its white exterior, which distinguishes it from the previous two silver cars. It also includes several matte black details such as the front and rear bumpers, wheel arches, large single-spoke wheels, rear wing, and exhaust diffuser with sharp stainless steel accent and red brake calipers.
The official price of the Porsche 911 Dakar 2023 is announced as 15.29 billion VND, excluding additional customer options and on-road fees.
A notable feature of the Porsche 911 Dakar is its ground clearance, which is 50mm higher than the standard model. Additionally, the Porsche 911 Dakar can increase its clearance by an additional 30mm in High Level mode, activated via a dial on the steering wheel. This mode is designed for off-road driving and allows the car to smoothly navigate speed bumps and rough roads without scraping the undercarriage.
The Porsche 911 Dakar, driven by Hi?u T.V., is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-6 engine that produces a maximum power output of 473 horsepower and a torque of 570 Nm.
This engine is combined with an 8-speed PDK automatic transmission, all-wheel drive, and rear-wheel steering system. As a result, this sports car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and has a limited top speed of 240 km/h.

Back at the official dealership, the limited edition Porsche 911 Dakar sports car owned by the tycoon from Hai Phong still had mud on it, and the owner insisted on keeping it dirty for one more day to commemorate the three-month journey conquering the roads of China and Mongolia before taking the car for a clean wash.
