The new Wuling Bingo EV model was introduced in China in April 2023 and is now officially available in the Southeast Asian market.

Wuling Bingo EV will be offered in two versions: Long Range and Premium Range, priced at 358 million rupiah (approximately 561.2 million VND) and 408 million rupiah (approximately 639.6 million VND), respectively.

Wuling Bingo is a joint venture product between SAIC, GM, and Wuling, with GM owning 44% of shares and SAIC and Wuling owning 56%.

The dimensions of Bingo are 3,950 x 1,708 x 1,580 (mm) in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2,560 mm. This places the car in the A-segment hatchback segment, sharing similarities with Hyundai i10 and Kia Morning.

For its launch in Southeast Asia, Wuling Bingo EV is equipped with 15-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights/taillights. The interior features synthetic leather seats, a 6-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, single-zone automatic air conditioning, and a cluster of screens including a digital instrument panel connected to a 10.25-inch entertainment screen.

The car comes with basic safety features including ABS/EBD brakes, electronic parking brake, automatic brake hold, electronic stability control, reverse camera, tire pressure monitoring, smart key, push-button start, and cruise control.

Powering the Wuling Bingo EV is an electric motor with a maximum power of 50 kW (approximately 67 horsepower). The Long Range version uses a 31.9 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery and only supports slow AC charging.

The Premium Range version is equipped with a 37.9 kWh LFP battery and supports both slow AC and fast DC charging. With the fast charger, it takes 35 minutes to increase the battery capacity from 30% to 80%. The maximum speed of the Bingo is 130 km/h.

After a full charge, the Long Range version can run for 333 km, while the Premium Range version can run for 410 km. Both battery types meet IP67 waterproof and dustproof standards.

It is reported that the model has received over 3,000 orders in Indonesia just one month after its initial sale.

There are speculations that Wuling Bingo EV will be launched in Vietnam in 2024, along with a mini electric car that directly competes with VinFast VF 3.
