Honda Vietnam has announced that there will be no official promotion for the BR-V model this month, as of January 2024. However, to boost sales before the Lunar New Year, dealerships are independently running promotions for this small MPV.
As part of these promotions, some dealerships are currently offering a 50% reduction on registration fees for the standard G variant of the Honda BR-V. With this offer, customers can save approximately 33 million VND when registering their vehicle.
For the premium L variant, dealerships are offering cash incentives instead of reduced registration fees. The amount of cash incentive varies depending on the dealership and can go up to 30 million VND. Additionally, dealerships are also offering accessory packages and 1 year of physical insurance for customers who purchase this small MPV in January 2024.
The Honda BR-V is a small MPV that was introduced to the Vietnamese market in July 2023. Since September 2023, this model has consistently received registration fee incentives from the company, with a 100% reduction for the G variant and a 50% reduction for the L variant, in order to ensure competitiveness within its segment. As a result, the sales of this vehicle have been quite promising.
In December 2023, Honda sold 706 units of the BR-V to Vietnamese customers, marking a 29.7% increase compared to the previous month. In total, Vietnamese customers purchased 3,047 Honda BR-V vehicles in 2023. This is not a small number, especially considering that the Honda MPV is priced higher than many of its competitors, ranging from 661 to 705 million VND. Moreover, the Honda BR-V was only launched in Vietnam 6 months ago. With these results, the BR-V is the 4th best-selling Honda vehicle in Vietnam, following the City, CR-V, and HR-V.
The Honda BR-V has achieved impressive business results during its 6 months in the Vietnamese market
The strength of the Honda BR-V lies in its appealing MPV-SUV hybrid design and modern safety features. Specifically, the vehicle is equipped with the standard Honda Sensing active safety package, which includes 6 features: Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Adaptive Headlights (AHB), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Road Departure Mitigation (RDM), and Lead Car Departure Notification (LCDN). In the premium variant, the vehicle also comes with 6 airbags and the Honda LaneWatch lane watch system.
In addition, the Honda BR-V boasts a relatively powerful engine compared to other small MPVs in its segment. Under the hood, it is equipped with a 1.5L i-VTEC 4-cylinder DOHC petrol engine, capable of producing a maximum power of 119 horsepower and a peak torque of 145 Nm. The engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and front-wheel drive.
