Just like its competitors, Volvo dealers in Vietnam are currently running a special promotion to attract customers before Tet holiday. One of the Volvo models is being offered at a discount of nearly 500 million VND.
Specifically, the luxurious large SUV model, Volvo XC90 Ultimate, is now discounted by 480 million VND at dealerships in Hanoi. The plug-in hybrid version of Volvo XC90, known as Recharge, has a discount of 230 million VND.
Meanwhile, both Volvo XC60 and S90L Ultimate models are being offered a discount of 300 million VND. The Recharge version of Volvo XC60 has a discount of 290 million VND.
Next on the list is the Volvo V60 Cross Country, which has a discount of 270 million VND. The smallest discount is for the Volvo XC40, which is being offered at a discount of 180 million VND.

Promotion program for Volvo models in January 2024 (unit: VND)
This promotion program for Volvo models is valid until January 31, 2024. Apart from the discount on registration fees, premium Volvo models also come with 3 years or 60,000 km (whichever comes first) of free maintenance and a 5-year official warranty package.
The discounts offered for Volvo cars are currently among the highest in the Vietnamese market. Additionally, Volkswagen (up to 400 million VND) and Subaru (up to 410 million VND) are also offering significant discounts on their models.
All Volvo cars sold in Vietnam are imported. The prices of these luxury cars range from 1.79 to 4.65 billion VND.
Out of the 5 Volvo car models currently available in Vietnam, 3 belong to the SUV segment, including XC40, XC60, and XC90. The Volvo S90 is a sedan, while the Volvo V60 Cross Country is a station wagon. In Vietnam, the latter is a rare station wagon model, along with the Subaru Outback.
The XC90 is currently the most expensive Volvo model in Vietnam.
Both the Volvo XC40 Ultimate and V60 Cross Country in Vietnam are equipped with a B5 mild hybrid engine, featuring a 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with a displacement of 2.0L. It generates a maximum power of 249 horsepower and a maximum torque of 350 Nm.
In addition, the Volvo V60 Cross Country is also equipped with 19-inch wheels, an electronically controlled crystal shift lever, a head-up display (HUD), an air and PM2.5 dust filtering system, perforated Nappa leather seats with heating/cooling function, Bowers & Wilkins audio system, panoramic sunroof, 4-zone automatic air conditioning, and a 360-degree camera.
Meanwhile, both the Volvo XC60 and XC90 in Vietnam have 2 engine options. The first is the B6 mild hybrid engine, which features a turbocharged petrol and supercharged engine with a displacement of 2.0L, a 48V battery, producing a maximum power of 300 horsepower and a maximum torque of 420 Nm. This B6 engine is also used for the Volvo S90L.
Secondly, there is the T8 plug-in hybrid engine, which combines an internal combustion engine with a powerful 145-horsepower electric motor. The T8 engine on the Volvo XC60 Ultimate Recharge AWD has a total combined power of 462 horsepower and a maximum torque of 709 Nm. This engine also allows the Volvo XC90 to travel 77 km on electric power alone.
In addition to their powerful engines, Volvo cars are also renowned for their advanced safety technologies, including Pilot Assist steering assistance, adaptive cruise control, and City Safety collision mitigation automatic braking system.
